No sane thinking individual would actually give two shits if there were no "pro shows" in 2009.
::)

Maybe the schmoes are feeling the financial "crunch".
Maybe the schmoes are dying off, and not enough new schmoes are replacing them?

where do you get your numbers?
http://www.ifbbpro.com/events/2009-calendar-of-events/ has
14 men's events
5 women's bodybuilding
7 women's fitness
12 women's figure
sure some of them will drop off the schedule

nah, i was out all evening beef.
You know my style. I would have started a thread about how the economic downturn was the cause of fewer show, and that 911 lies led to 2 quagmire wars and 7 years of shitshod borrowing was to blame for it :)

There will always be pro shows - some years more than others - the "sport" isn't exactly popular but it won't die. Promotors are feeling the credit crunch just like everyone else.
Hell, they're even talking about cutting costs in Formula One motor racing by asking the drivers to take pay cuts - arguably the richest sport in the world.

Here in Europe we´re very happy to have just 1 Grand Prix this year (Joe Weiders GP Berlin/Germany, Messehalle).

nope. i've been fairly absent from political discussion lately, and missing most cable news that i normally watch. bored with it. i only made that post as someone accused me of a gimmic in strating this thread. If i wanted to make fun of cancelled shows, i'd just do that on my own :)
