A bit more to it, but yes that's what allows the lock cylinder to turn.

Johnny, does this have anything to do with the reptilian invasion?  Will there even be an invasion?

Easy, cut out the eye ball of someone who has access.  Insert it into your eye socket after removing one of your own eyes.  Done

Cant you just manually scan the eyeball with "access", without actually replacing your own?
