Title: Vibrating Mascara
Post by: Butterbean on January 11, 2009, 01:28:52 PM
Has anyone tried any of the new vibrating/oscillating mascaras?  Is it that much of an improvement or is it just geared toward the lazy  ???

No, but I've tried the tube mascara.  Can't say I love it or hate it  :-\  I can't see spending $20-$30 + on mascara ~

i'm not sure that i can tel if a woman has mascara or not on.  Nothing that i've ever paid attention too.

Challenge:  Take a close up pic with one eye done and the other one not done.  Don't say which is which.  Just pic of eyes for those that don't want to show the entire face due to privacy issues.

I think L'Oréal has recently come out with a copy-cat version, although it looks like 2 separate applications are required for the same effect.  The original, by Blinc (Kiss Me) is applied like regular mascara.  It forms tiny water-resistant “tubes” around your lashes rather than painting them like regular mascara. The tubes bind to your lashes and don't run, smudge, clump, or flake, even if you cry or rub your eyes.  It adds volume and length.  Removal is very simple - just warm water and your fingertips.  The tubes just slide right off.  It's kinda weird.

A friend of mine sells it retail in her salon for about $21.  I think the Blinc site sells it for $25.  It hasn't gone over very well from what I understand.  I think it's more the price point rather than the product itself.  If anyone wants to buy it at cost + shipping, PM me.  I think she'd like to get it off her shelf.  She also has their eyeliner. http://www.blincinc.com/us/kmm_faqs.php

My eyelashes are soooo light, they're practically clear (blond):'(
It's like night and day with or without.

really?  hmm

hence the reason i post the challenge to the brave lol.  A woman's eyes are probably the first thing I look at, but never paid attention to mascara
