I think that if people want to give money to Israel and various foundations, it is great, just as they give to various foundations here in the US. That commercial isnt meant to give money to the Israeli government, it is meant to help out those who need it in Israel. And like any country, there are a lot of poor people who need it, including Israeli Arabs.
Whether they are Russian Jews, Ethiopian Jews, and people down on their luck because of the economy, lack of insurance, etc - people need help.
As for the money US gives them, to help the ONLY democracy in the middle east, well... there are restrictions. In terms of technology, computers and military (they have extremely advanced and tested items), on who they can sell it too.
