Post by: xjeffx on January 15, 2009, 11:16:06 AM
i was wondering if there was any info out there as far as if there is any benefit to using SQ insulin shots post-workout when not on a cycle of AAS or HGH

There would be some slight benefit but not nearly as much as you'd see with GH and AAS.

You would mostly just get fatter if you took it with no AAS.  GH helps too.  However got to at a minimum have AAS or it's a waste IMO.

i think it would only help if

you were using it with other drugs

 or

you were a natty with a super fast metabolism and find it very hard to eat enough food to gain size.

I've used it on the tail end of a cycle long enough to notice results. I'm using a little off cycle with some GH and it's all right. Nothing spectacular. When you add AAS to the mix, it's a completely different story.

I would only use insulin with no AAS if I were being tested or had a condition where AAS would be completely inappropriate. If using it solo, I'd use it for nothing but refeeds or times when my body really feels bogged down. Too much will put on not only subcutaneous fat but visceral fat. Make sure your diet is spot on. If you've got anything but a perfect diet don't even let the thought of slin cross your mind.

Ohh, may want to invest in a BSL monitor. They're pretty snazzy. Even when I'm not using slin and just dieting hard, I plan on buying more testing strips. I've done a lot of testing before slin, as well as during. It's pretty important to know where your fasting glucose sits at.
