???

Definately not.

The government should not be in the business of regulating what two consenting adults do that does not result in physical harm or theft to the other.

Additionally, men already pay for sex every day in every other way.

Good point

Some local prostitution busts were in the news recently.

Seems like a gigantic waste of tax dollars.

They should legalize it, tax it, and organize it in a way that these girls are protected.

No. This is a result of fictional Christian values.

Prostitution = the world's oldest profession.

Like I said, men already pay for sex every day.  In fact, most guys I know would probably save money going to a decent hooker as opposed to having to wine, dine, and pocket line their girlfriends and wives for the amount that these bitches put out.

Well if you think prostitution should be legal why not polygamy?  Why not gay marriage?

Polygamy and Gay Marriage are completely different issues.

It should be put to the voter and taxpayer like gay marriage was.

Like I said, when a guy takes a girl out solely with the hope of getting sex and takes her out to a fancy m,eal, etc etc, what is really going on????

Translation = I'm either ugly or have no game when it comes to women.   ;D

I never had a problem finding sex when I was single.  And usually it was at the expense of a $50 dinner and a few drinks no big deal.  Hell a lot of the women I dated had careers and went dutch or paid for me.  Any guy that has to "pocket line" their wives is pussy whipped and should move on.  Not all women, even in America, have that attitude.  Don't hate cause you're reduced to sloppy seconds bro!

For someone who such a stuanch conservative in most of his political posts I would think you'd be a little more chivalrous towards the opposite sex.

Not really.  The government shouldn't be in the business of telling two adults what constitutes "marriage" just as much as they shouldn't be telling two consenting adults that a business transaction between sex is illegal.  Both are LAWS.

Im libertarian on most issues.  Look up what that means.

Single men are not the ones mostly going to hookers as it is.

poor reasoning drugs among just about everything else could be looked at as not hurting anybody other then the consenting ppl that doesnt mean they should be legal you need more than that.

People prositute themselves every day in every other area of their lives, I dont see why sex is that big of a deal other than a safety and health issue.

I think the "morality" issue is a joke considering how people sell themselves in many other ways that have equally bad results and no one says a word.

Not that its good or bad, I was just responding to your post.  Many married men are married to women who no longer put out, yet dont want to divorced or cant afford to get divorced and simply go to a hooker.

Like Spitzer.

Should Prostitution be Illegal?

It is legal in various parts of the US, and in many countries, in special areas.  And whether or not, many people uses these tpes of services.  So get them organized, tax them, regulate them with health certificates (like they do with porn actresses), and make some money to help pay for those overcrowded schools and much needed health problems around the USA.

I don't know man I type out all these long winded responses and end up deleting them.  LOL.  THese arguments make my head hurt.  I can't' come up with a solid argument as to why it should be illegal.  But morally I can think of all the arguments of why it should.  But morals and laws/government are two different things.  Personally in my life I feel like I have the devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other.  So far in my life the angel has won out.  I would never personally use a prostitute.  I can understand why a man would want to.  But I also think pornography is degrading to women, and wrong.  But I like it and look at it regularly.  But pornography has changed a lot.  When it first started out I don't think it was as degrading.  It was simply watching two adults have sex etc.  Now it's all about the anal sex, cumshots in the face, snowballing and shit like that.  I guess in the end human beings manage to fuck up a good thing like everything else.  Who knows.  Like you said dating is like paying for sex.  Prostitution is just more efficient.

But this doesn't take into account the moral ramifications on society.  Or is that not important/irrelevant?  Would you want a brothel in your neighborhood?  It's the same thing with strip clubs and porn.  Not in my backyard and not my daughters!  Makes no sense.  And is hypocritical.  It's ok if I exploit other people.  I guess there should be some forbidden city that's just filled with bunny ranches?  I'm sure the people of Nevada love the fact that there are bunny ranches in their state.  NOT!  Hence why  most counties they are illegal.

I think it's done to be moral and keep disease down.  If you are going to do it though, I think it should be controlled like the Bunny Ranch.

I understand your dilemma.  One thing you mentioned is "morals and laws/government are two different things."  I don't think that's necessarily true.  The law and morality intersect all the time.  Voters make moral judgments at the polls.  There is a common statement that you can't or shouldn't "legislate morality," but we do it all the time.

Because, as Jesse Ventura puts it, the government has to play pimp and gets angry when they don't get their cut.

I don't think anyone should have the right to tell a woman (or man) what they can do with their own body.

I agree so long as they are willing to take 100 percent responsibility for their choices.

That is what I am talking about!.  Its only illegal because the government does not have a record for taxes to collect.

Go listen to the song or lyrics of BDP call "Illegal Business"

Additionally, as far as morality goes, I find what the government is presently doing with our $$$$ is far worse than a woman making a few bucks for giving a guy a bj.
