In all reality if nasser hadn't focused  on bodybuilding he'd still be in germany as an average joe working in a Benz plant. . None of his degrees have any practical value + he's not a german citizen. Luckily for nasser the  Weider boys had taken an interest in him and sponsored his move to the US and hooked him up with the schmoe community so he can make a living while pursuing BB. That's why nasser worships Joe - he'd be  nothing without him.
