the whey powder of that brand doesnt work.

What do you mean doesn't work? Are you saying it's not really protein? That say you took that as your sole source of protein (gram/lb) you'd be protein deficient.

Why don't people believe that food works better.

I don't think that's the issue. I think it's more for convenience. Not everyone has the time to cook and sit down and eat 5-6 times a day. Three meals and two shakes is very doable. Also, in my case, I don't have the time or feel like eating in the morning but downing a shake is very easy and fast. Trying to get 50-60 grams of protein for breakfast when you're trying to get ready for work can be a hassle.

that's kind of funny... you could have bought gear... saved $1300... and actually made decent gains.

BB supplements do not work.

that right and if they did they wouldnt have to change products or companys every three months to keep people coming int eh door at GNC   You could have bought 500lbs of beef and it woudl be better for you

Good point!  Why blow your whole wad all at once?  I don't think I could ever spend that much money at one time on supplements unless I was making enough coin to not think twice.  Are you rolling in the dough?

tell me more about this "food"

Since this question was posed plainly, sincerely and respectfully I will answer.
Food basically consists of three macro nutritents: protein, carbohydrates and fats. In addition they contain micro nutrients, i.e., vitamins and minerals both macro and trace.

From your body's perspective it doesn't know or care if they nutrients come from a steak, potatoes, waxy maize or whey protein powder. From a macro nutrient perspective all carbohydrates, whatever that source, gets broken down into glucose in which some is stored in the muscle as glycogen, some store in the liver and is the the body's preferred source of energy. All protein is broken down into amino acids and is use .... getting sleepy.... boring myself....must go on.... amino acids are use to both build and repair and is also use for virtually every.... amino acids can be converted into energy, i.e., glucose when carbo... fats and carbohydrates cannot be converted into amino acids so it is possible to live just on protein but.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzz

Correct. I was just losing the will to live as I was typing up that shite. From a macro nutrient stand point all carbs get converted into glucose but the only diff between eating a sugar cube and outmeal is the glycemic index. The rate in which it is broken down into blood sugar and the insulin response as determin.....zzzzzzzzzzz z
