i cant take this crap anymore
pit stains
friggin pit stains
i cant wear a tight shirt cuz pit stains will ruin it!
how do i stop them?!
i shower 2x a day
i use old spice deodrant!
help!!
-
-Use an antibacterial soap
-After you get out of the shower put your deodorant on and leave your shit off for several minutes while you brush your teeth, comb hair etc to give it time to dry.
-Thru out the day dab you underarms with tissue paper.
-Consider using talc powder.
-Use a pre-treater on the pits of your shirts.
-Be proud of your pit stains. It means you are muscular and your metabolism is running high. Bob Chick has 'em and he looks cool.
Hope this helps.

try some paper towels stuffed in your armpits
-
Try a different deodorant; experiment with different ones if you have to, but stop using Old Spice. I use Speed Stick (never had a problem) and Right Guard (almost as good as SS).

Levels of perspiration and body chemistry are different for every individual; be prepared to experiment until you find a product that works well for you. Also, note that there is a difference between deodorants and antiperspirants. It sounds like you really want the latter, not the former.

Deodorant deals w/the smell.
Anti-Perspirant deals w/the sweating issue.
I think Bay is saying you should make sure yours has anti-perspirant (could be in addition to deoderant) because your problem comes from sweaty pits.
Some guy at the gym used to work out in a plain white tee-shirt all the time. He never had pit stains. We actually asked him about that because it seems most men do get pit stains. He said he used some Amway product....so then we ran away. But you could look into it. Some Amway detergent.
-
I always wear a white shirt underneath the shirt Im wearing----thus you wont get pit stains
Im a sweaty bastard myself even though i do the same as you---shower 2 times daily and use deoderant religously

Just wear a tank top everywhere you go. Show off the guns!

it has been very cold here-at work they put a large heat lamp behind the counter where i work...the rays from the machine have been very oppresive and i feel they are contributing to my excessive sweating

Use an antiperspirant.
Deodorants deal with the smell
Antiperspirants deal with the sweating.

Gene, I recommend "Dry Idea" roll-on in either Regular Scent or Unscented.
Seriously, this has dried up men's pits that have cat urine B.O.
Also, I have a girlfriend that used to shower in the morning and by noon she smells like she's got an onion bag in a headlock.
After she started using Dry Idea roll-on..problem solved!
It's an anti-perspirant/deoderant. An excellent product imo :)

where can i find this? cvs?
Probably most anywhere...your grocery should have it. It's just a "typical" deodorant/anti-perspirant that is at probably every store but it actually works and works well.
I have found though that for some reason the Unscented or Regular Scent seem to be better than the other scents.
And make sure it is the ROLL-ON...not the solid stick or anything like that.
It should dry up those pits like the Sahara :)
...at least it has for me and everyone I've told about it.

And check your paper for money-saving coupons. Couple those with store specials and get clean, fresh pits and a fraction of the cost.

I'm pretty sure Dry Idea is by Gillette, but the unscented and regular scent really don't have any smell at all imo and it WORKS!!
I hope you can find it and it works well for you Gene :)

May I also suggest you try a deodorant soap? People who perspire a lot tend to give off a strong scent but it is not a scent they can recognize. The people around you however DO recognize it and that is usually not a good thing.

Bump for an armpit update

Not just a deodorant.

how big was it?! Including it's legs, probably the size of a cd/dvd. Big spider.
where in the kitchen was it? Above the table. Up high on the wall.
howd u kill it? I didn't kill it. I just left him there...he could still be in the house.
were u scared? Scared, no. Uncomfortable, yes.
how did it react? Luckily Huntsmans are very dosile, so it didn't move at all. Just sat there.
This is what it looked like...

You should start catching them and putting them into tanks, you could fight them and breed a championship line.

yes >:(
Anyway GEne..................ma ke sure you SHAKE UP the roll-on bottle before applying.
And just a suggestion ...knowing you bought both regular and powder scents, please try regular first. For some reaon I don't think powder scent is as effective!

What do you know of manly perspiration?
What he needs is some Speed Stick Gel anitperspirant/deoderant in whatever scent he wants. Good manly smelling stuff right there!!
-
TRY BICARBONATE OF SODA!!
Take a shower and rub bicarbonate of soda on the areas from where you sweat most, you will never stink again!
no need for anti persperants that block your lymph system and all that unhealthy crap.
-
bump for dry pits

tried dry idea for 1st time yesterday

its seemed to work well but that was only the 1st day-lets see what today brings

From SweatSolutions.org:
“People assume that sweat causes underarm stains,” says Thomas, “But you wouldn’t have stains if it weren’t for your antiperspirant. Antiperspirants are very acidic and it’s that acidity that causes the colors on your clothes to shift.” Antiperspirant products that come in roll-on or gel forms, adds Thomas, tend to cause more severe staining. Gels and roll-ons are more watery and therefore get onto clothing more easily, leading to more color changes in the fabric.
The best way to prevent antiperspirants from transferring onto clothes and from potential staining, according to Thomas, is to apply just a thin layer of antiperspirant to your underarms and to allow it to dry thoroughly before donning clothing. It’s especially important to allow roll-on and gel formulas time to dry before dressing. Although many of us are tempted to spread our antiperspirants on thickly (thinking that more equals better and, in this case, drier), Thomas advises against that: “A stick shouldn’t work much better if the coverage is thick, it’ll just lead to more product getting on your clothes. Complete, uniform coverage of the underarm is what’s important. The active ingredient in antiperspirants works by forming very shallow plugs in the sweat ducts, just below the skin surface. These plugs form a barrier so sweat cannot come out of that duct.” The plugs, by the way, are so shallow that they come out with everyday exfoliation, such as shaving.
