Title: McDonalds Breakfast...
Post by: Eyeball Chambers on January 24, 2009, 06:18:48 AM
I just ate two orders of McDonald's Scrambled Eggs, a piece of Canadian Bacon, Two Fruit Parfaits, and a large Orange Juice.  Now, I keep burping up something that taste like Orange Sherbet.

My pimples went away almost completely.

I think my joints are working better.  Like I use to be kind of sore in the morning walking down the steps.

I don't get dehydrated feeling anymore, like my eyes use to almost feel dry while working out.

I feel better in many ways.  Also, I've gained strength much faster I think.

How about you?

Do you buy Gluten free pasta?

EVERYTHING at McD's is a recipe specifically made just for them, right on down to the ketchup (even tho it say Heintz or whatever, it's still their secret recipe).  The yogurt they use for their parfaits is amazingly yummy.

No, oats do not contain gluten.  Gluten is mostly found in rye, wheat, and barley.

The only difference between steel cut, rolled, 1 minute and instant oats is processing.  It's still oats.  Now, if you have the "flavored" stuff, that might be another story.  Not sure of all the ingredients except a lot of unnecessary sugar.

Wheat gluten is much more likely to cause problems and it's EVERYWHERE.  Read your labels.

will it actually state "wheat gluten" on the label under the ingredients?    Thanks Princess!  You put a lot of time in on here and it's appreciated.

Well, yes  and no  ;)

Wheat gluten is the "protein" found in wheat.  So if the product has any wheat in it, it naturally has gluten.  A lot of companies put ADDITIONAL wheat gluten in products (has something to do with baking texture or consistency or something AND it artificially inflates the protein count) and if that's the case, then yes, it's listed separately.

Manufacturers use imported wheat gluten (from China) A LOT because it's cheaper.  It's one of the things that caused all the problems with pet food last year.  "They're" trying to tell us it's not in our food supply (the stuff from China)  ::)  I say BS!  IMO it's best to avoid it, not only for that reason, but so many allergy problems (human and pet) can be attributed to it and people don't even know it.
