Title: Any of you ever done this for cardio??
Post by: QuakerOats on January 25, 2009, 03:57:48 PM
looks pretty tough and seems a little more exciting than walking on a treadmill, what do you think? fairly light weights, 10 exercises in a row, 6 reps per set.

How many calories do you think that burns?

if you do it 3-4 times i'd say it would burn a shitload, maybe 400-500.

like i said it seems a lot more challenging and exciting than walking on a treadmill or riding a stationary bike for 40 minutes, how would you incorporate it into your regular weight workouts?

Maybe on off days, use it as a flushing out of lactic acids at the same time

in all seriousness it's not meant to be a weight workout it's meant to be A CARDIO and conditioning workout with very light weights and many sets in a row, actually 95 is a hell of a feat when you consider what he's doing.

Agree man, I was just trolling as usual before. Personally, I hate cardio and don't do any. I'd say what the guy is doing is just as effective as getting on the treadmill.

would be good to use that to "mix it up" with your normal cardio routine. u can burn the same amount of calories in 10 minutes doin that as u would doin 40 on the treadmill.

It's a barbell complex. There's alot of variations and is great conditioning.

i don't know how people are still relying on slow, steady treadmill walking as a form of "fat burning cardio" when HIIT and Tabata are more effective/efficient  and less time consuming (WAY LESS)

You know what they say about California. It is one of the few places where gay people like yourself can be married. Hahahaah i could never be scared of anyone who is below 5'9. Sorry, it would be like trying to fight a fat toddler.

Tsk, tsk, you mustn't go against your bible belt buddies, little man.

Like you're a brave man yourself. You are a fucking hypocrite who doesn't mind breaking the law to prance around in a loin cloth in front of gay men at age 40.
