Being bodybuilders or use to seeing bodybuilders your perspective is very skewed in comparison to normal people. When you look at a male physique in a non-schmoe manner over a period of years or decades you see things others don't see. When I first saw PI they all pretty much looked the same to me. Huge muscular guys and I really couldn't tell one from the other. After I became more familiar with the sport it now is obvious how much better Arnold was and how far ahead of the pack he stood.

My point is that that most men from our perspective, even those that work out, look horrible undressed. I mean, for god's sake just take a quick glance at the other men in the locker room. It's disgusting. And these are guys in the gym. And wtf is with old guys? It's like you reach a certain age and you just don't give a fvck and prance around naked. Um, towel?

Tom Jones, during the time that pic was taken, was consider hot by women and admired by the average guy. Don't try to understand. It is what it is.
