Right, but would it be a good idea to do them on back day? I can't believe bodybuilding.com lists it for quads and doesn't even list back as a secondary muscle.

I do stiff leg DL on Leg day and Power Lifting style DL on Back Day.

Maybe it's just me but my lower back gets sore when I deadlift ;)

try do a workout with lots of deadlifts only. heavy aswell as highreppin.
then you will know what muscles gets the most work from the soreness ;)

Exactly. Stiff-legged deadlift for hamstrings and glutes. Normal deadlift for the whole back.

I've always done them for back. My hamstrings also get quite sore too.
Charles Poliquin says to do them on Leg Day, for your hamstrings. I tried it, but eventually the overload of doing both Squats and Deads, nearly killed me and my CNS.
