It pains me to tell you all that Helio Gracie the father of BJJ has past away. He was 95 years old. Rest in peace maestro, we will carry on in your honor always!

Edit: didn't see the other thread. The man deserves the recognition anyway!!

there can never be to many threads honering the man,he was the father of bjj imo.great family man,lived a very full and complete life imo.he will be missed and always remembered for his dedication and love for the art of bjj,the man was fearless yet humble,tough yet kindhearted.a man can only dream of living the kinda life helio lived.he was very blessed by the good lord
