I've been catching up on the HBO show the WIRE.  Was watching season II laste few days.  Caught tihs quote from one of the union characters...........

"We used to make shit in this country,........build shit..........now everyone has their hand in the next guy's pocket". 

Thought it pretty much summed up our economy nowadays.   ;D
