The hotel in Estes Park filmed as the Overlook in The Shining. Anyone here ever spent the night there, just wondering?

No, but I'd like to.
Are you sure they filmed the Shining there? I know it's where Steven King was staying while he got the inspiration to write The Shining, but I think the movie was filmed somewhere else.

I'm pretty sure The Shining was filmed at Timberline Lodge.

No but I stayed at the Del Coronado where some old movie (Some Like it Hot?) was filmed and it's also supposed to be haunted.
DIdn't see any evil spirits but one day the main pool was closed because some kid had a baby ruth incident.

interesting. Looks like the outside was the timberline lodge and all the interior shots were film on a set in England, all the rooms based on various other hotels. The TV version was filmed at The Stanley and the story was inspired by and partially written there.

I stayed there during my honeymoon. Pretty good old victorian hotel. I didnt
see any ghosts. (Though I was probably too busy to notice, even if there were any.)

I've stayed there 3 nights about a year and a half ago. Fun spot, I didn't feel any weird vibes at all.
Go down the street to the rooftop cafe place and get a buffalo burger, they're excellent. Also visit Rocky Mt National park if you can, you'll see ram, sheep and mountain lion if you're lucky.
