if you lived on a state with a border where lots of illegals came thru, and the got asked for volunteers to stand at border with binoculars and call in illegals, would you be willing to donate a few hours each week?

Excuse me for oversimplifying matters [I never see why the USA allows such rampant immigration anyway] but all this talk about job creation - why not create 10,000 jobs and add more border patrols? Job creation and border security in one fell swoop.

Its actually a good thread. Obama said he wants people to volunteer...to serve. Well get ur asses out there and do it. I did a JTF6 mission. U guys can sit in a Humvee or SUV...under a tent....on a horse or 4 wheeler and drive the border. The Border Patrol can set up a reserve system much like the guard. Limited benefits tied directly to on duty work/injuries only. A training course etc. U could tie it to extra college benefits or whatever and also tie it into the Soldiers and Sailors relief act so u wouldn't get fired for a 2 week stint. I don't think u could volunteer, as u will need to carry a weapon and could have to deal with drug dealers and the mexican army. Hey Muscles...this is right up ur alley. Ur always whining about the border...go ahead and do something about it.

When this country makes up its mind to stop illegal immigration we will see a large drop in it. No volunteer border patrol needed.

Who knows?
But its plain to see that if they wanted to they could round up quite a few illegal immigrants and deport them. It wouldn't be that hard. Just cruise by home depot on Saturdays. There's also a street by where i live that they gather and wait for "day work" every day, 15-20 at all times. I bet in the morning there quite a bit more. Or go house to house in areas in Texas, So. Cal, Az, and NM.

This was the issue with illegals getting drivers licenses. They will use it to vote en masse.
I do voter fraud watching every 4 years.

Pittsburgh - 2008.
The Bronx in 2000 was the worst and I know for a fact illegals voted. It was horrible.

You have no idea what I saw go on in the Bronx in 2000 on election day.
All were Gore/Hillary voters mind you.
The only way the democrats win is with the dead/illegal alien/union/scared senior citizen/black/ vote.
The average taxpayer would never vote for a democrat in his right mind.

I think 333386 is right...Illegal aliens are votes for the democrats and cheap labor for big business. Its a real problem in America that we can't address illegal immigration because a certain party wants them for votes and business wants them for cheaper labor. You know who gets screwed? The American taxpayer! We must be vocal about protecting our boarders and refusing to grant privilages to illegals.
Anyone who wants to give illegals drivers licences have alterior motives and are traitors IMO.
Legal immigrants should be welcomed with open arms.
