I still find it horrible that a man that is 3-1 gets a shot at the title.

it speaks volumes of the heavyweight division in the ufc imo

So true. The only heavyweights I can think of in the UFC today are Mir, Nogueira and Lesnar. If Mir wins, which I think he will, then who's next?

because it's a business and he can sell tickets..... dan white understands this and so did/ does brock.... they both said it from the start.
cut to the chase and people would find he'd (brock) would deserve it anyway..... he'll win against mir in the rematch.

I know it sells tickets. But that's where the UFC can get in trouble. If they go down the road of Undertaker vs. Steve Austin cause it "will sell tickets" then other MMA leagues will be able to rip them apart saying that they aren't about top fighters they're about top ratings.
Plus if Brock wins then it won't be good for the UFC either. To have a Top Heavyweight like Mir lose to Brock will have people wondering how legit that athletes are. I know Brock wrestled in college but that was nine years ago.
He beat Me Soo Kim, who has more losses than wins. Then he lost to Mir. Then he beat a fat Heath Herring who has never been anything more than a sideshow freak. Any time Herring has fought a top heavy weight he's lost. Then the final bullshit. For one last Pay-per-view they trotted out a 45 year old Randy Couture who had not fought in nearly a year and needed the money to help with his divorce and get out of his UFC contract.
So why does he deserve a shot over Gonzaga who is 10-3? What about Carwin who is 10-0? Brock should have to fight BOTH of these men before he gets his shot at the title in my opinion.

Randy is getting a divorce?

Randy is getting a divorce?
I'll find the link. He's on his third wife now and I believe she is a fighter too.

Yeah that's Kim. I just didn't think he was moving past her..I thought they have been together for quite some time? I know that his first wife he married at 19 right after she got pregnant with Ryan. He stayed with her through his military career and when he wrestled at Oky state. Sorry I'm reading his book and I haven't gotten to a second wife yet, I thought Kim was his second??

agree with you about having to fight others before deserving this.... same about couture...herring he beat, dom'd... but couldn't ko.... so that plays in too... unless he was carrying herring and dom'ng him to make a point....
the powers thats be.... owners & execs want $$$ now though so want to sell massive amount of tix... they prob think this (he/brock) is best way.....
I think brock has great potential because of background and more important... training & work ethic
mir fight will test this theory....

True, true.
But here's a twist. What happens if Brock is destroyed by Mir? For Mir it will be solidifying the belt and he'll be able to raise his head high. BUT....what about Brock? Now he's 3-2, with the stigma of losing to any solid contenders. If he's loses another after that and moves to 3-3 then it's off to Affliction he will go.

The same 45 year old Couture that everyone thought would give Fedor his toughest challenge?
I said it from day 1, if Brock beat Couture it's because he's old, if Couture beat Brock, he would have been hailed as an unstoppable hero......

mir's gonna shock the world and kick the shit out of lesnar with his stand up game....
I can feel it in me bones !

I'm not picky, I just want to see a good fight. Don't care who wins as long as it lasts a few rounds and is entertaining.

Lesnars so one dimensional it's not even funny, and as long as randy kept it standing he was in the fight,in fact he even had his way with brock controlling him to a certain extent until he got caught.....
I can totally see Mir (who's a big boy himself) stopping brocks takedowns and throwing hands with brock until he feels it's safe to go to the mat with him...

??? Brock knocked Mir on his ass twice in their first fight.
-
I really could see Frank inviting the takedown from Lesner. He left a lot of room for subs in the Herring fight.
-
up and comer in HW div is Cain Velasquez ..couple more fights under his belt and he could have a shot

i think danas just trying to suck in the wwe fans by building up brock, most wrestling fans i knew never talked about the ufc before brock came in,now i hear all these wwe guys at my fitness gym talking about the ufc, when its all said and done its about the $$$$$ with zuffa.im not saying the fertittas and dana dont love the ufc and arent working hard to give fans what they want, but just like any other business at the end of the day its about the $$$$.i agree that cain, congo and gonzaga are up and comers in the hw division and i believe they are a big part of the ufc,s talent pool now, they will also get a shot at the belt i believe in the next 8 to 12 months providing they stay impressive.i believe gonzaga already did if im not mistaken,my memory hasnt been that great lately, all you guys out there who are raising a 2 and a half year old boy know what i mean, they are great but they can drive you nuts at the same time.weight classes go in slumps at times, just like in boxing, sometimes the boxing hw div is stacked and other times its only 3 or 4 guys that are legit title threats to that champ at that time.i remember years back even the ufc lhw div wasnt the greatest,it seemed like tito, chuck, randy where the only real contenders, now the 205 div is stacked.even the 170 lb division was the same old story years back, hughes wins again, the biggest challenges he had was (the ronin)dont get me wrong, carlos was no joke but other then sherk, carlos and maybe 1 or 2 other guys it was dried up,now its stacked to the rim.imo the ufc hw div is on the verge of exploding with some fresh new talent,if dana could only sign ken, tank and also kimbo the ufc hw div will be unstoppable ;D
