Just got an email from my training partner. Says that Will did a video for a company called Palm Drive Video.
He said he didnt know anything other than that Will did a video.
Give me time my pals. We will see if it is true.
It could be nothing more than a rumor. Just some gossip. Just my opinion.

Times have changed my friend, and prior to 1990, steroids were not the all-evil/ schedule 3 drug they became...in the "old days"...no one gave a shit, and getting a dr to give you a scrip was easy (and profitable for them)....not only were we guaranteed real gear, but tested monthly as well (so the docs could cover ntheir ass)...

i really appreciate your telling it the way you see it. that makes sense about the time periods when it was ok and not looked down upon. i guess we all have to make decisions in life based on whats right at certain times in our lives and shouldnt be judged by some people.

If you MUST know...I suffered from a rare case of "Iaintbigenoughitis"...and the good doctor was able to diagnose and treat the problem, thus curing me. Because I had an adverse reation to the drugs perscribed, I suddenly woke up one morning "all swolled up"...and a friend suggested I take up bodybuilding as long as these were the cards I was delt....
Here I am 30 years, 3 titles, and making my living from professional BBing....whodda thunk it??

I feel sorry for the doctor. Apparnetly he is unethical and doesn't feel in any way obligated to be truthful in his practice, otherwise he wouldn't have given you the prescription. What else is that doctor untruthful about? I've been on the recieving end of an untruthful cancer diagnosis and these doctors shouldn't be in the business if they don't look at their practice as helping mankind instead of making money. Some people put their whole lives in doctors hands and certain people exploit the system. But hey, it's nice to see a 40 year old man laughing about it.

Theres actual people out there with medical conditions (thus the need for prescriptions to get AAS) and here you are using the system to further your little dreams of yours. I feel sorry for the doctor. Apparnetly he is unethical and doesn't feel in any way obligated to be truthful in his practice, otherwise he wouldn't have given you the prescription. What else is that doctor untruthful about? I've been on the recieving end of an untruthful cancer diagnosis and these doctors shouldn't be in the business if they don't look at their practice as helping mankind instead of making money. Some people put their whole lives in doctors hands and certain people exploit the system. But hey, it's nice to see a 40 year old man laughing about it.

Because I had an adverse reation to the drugs perscribed, I suddenly woke up one morning "all swolled up"...and a friend suggested I take up bodybuilding as long as these were the cards I was delt....

Good point - I had not thought of that, but I think you are absolutely right. I many ways its probably no different to the catfights and insecurities etc that I suspect take place at female beauty pagents. I enjoy watching BBing as a sport, but myself compete as a weightlifter. What is great about weightlifting is that you are measured objectively, based on how much you can lift. As a whole, weightlifters tend to be really supportive of each other, and we respect the guys who train hard and who can lift the most etc. A subjective support, I suspect, creates a lot more bitteness from people who think they should have succeeded when they did not.

Let's see if i can explain where i'm coming from. What do i believe is wrong with a person using steroids to achieve success in bodybuilding. For someone to get steroids ("legally") to use for bodybuilding, they must find a doctor to prescribe them to that person. Now the reason that a doctors prescription is needed, is for 1) some patients actually need the drug to help a physical ailment of sort (i dont know of any examples) and 2) Because we, as citizens, assume that doctors are moral, ethical, and competent to make such decisions, otherwise it wouldn't be up to their discretion, right? So we expect a doctor to make sound judgements in his field and follow the medical code of ethics that he is sworn to uphold. This code of ethics stresses the primcacy of law, the importance of sound jugement, and the need to avoid conflict of interest.
Now, when a bodybuilder pays a doctor to recieve a substance which would otherwise be illegal for no medical purpose use whatsoever, let's see what the doctor violates. First is law, this would be fraud. Second would be the code of ethics, he is dishonest in his practice, the money he recieves from the bodybuilders would constitute a conflict of interest and a bribe that subordinate public posistions to private gains.
I think we can all admit that we expect doctors, or anyone in the medical field, to have the highest of honor and uphold the highest of ethics. Frankly, we expect them to be honest and trusthworthy. This is violated when a doctor breaks his practice for a few extra bucks, no matter the amount of money or what drug/substance it is, that is of no importance. Being on the recieving end of an inaccurate chemo treatment, doctors and their practice should always be examined closely. I think what many of you are doing is saying something along the lines of "bob's a grown man", "everyone else is doing it", "its only a small amount, it's harmless", add these to lists which include "the devil made me do it" and "the dog ate my homework".
Im afriad many of you are justifying the doctors actions by making yourself believe "well i'm sure it was only that one time he compromised his ethics and morals, he wouldn't do anything else unethical". This reminds me of the story my political science teacher told me a while back about how he was once working on a case and one of his partners came up to him and said "Don't worry about the case, the judge accepted $10,000 to let the evidence we have be used", to which my teacher replied "what if the other party pays him $15,000?" and after a long pause the guy responded "He wouldn't do that, he's a fair and honest judge, he wouldn't think of accepted money from both parties"

The problem is that "THE LAW" and ethics and morals, are not always the same.
If "THE LAW" decided to make eating chocolate illegal, or drinking coffee, or having long hair, or having plastic surgery, or having tattoos, would it then be unethical to do these things?
If "THE LAW" suddenly changed to allow white people to kill black people, or to allow men to rape women, would that make these things ethical to do?
You see the point right? The problem with steroids, is that "THE LAW" is wrong. For country that supposedly values individual freedoms, its a massive breach of such freedom for the Government to make rules attempting to restrict people who whish to do certain things to their body. I have no problem at all from a moral perspective with a doctor (or a dealer) providing substances to people who wish to take them, along with providing information to enable to help them make informed decisions about what they want to do with their bodys.
