So the 1,474 page stimulus bill had to be urgently voted on today because Nancy Pelosi had to take an 8-day trip to Europe? ::) So they've voted on a bill that holds the fate of the country in it without even having the chance to read it. They didn't even know what was in it.
I agree with you about Glenn nailing it, this is ridiculous.
Again, they are doing all of this on purpose. Ruin is what they want. It is no surprise and there is more to come.

95% of that bill has been on the net for over a fuckin week, and 95% of that bill has not changed, only 5% of the bill has changed. If these fucking republicans would have stopped wasting time bitchin about some Bill that hmmmmmm they haven't read????? Wait a minute, did you catch that?? This is about an end-goal, that which will be attained regardless of a "party." A party doesn't mean shit. It's something that exists so that you, being part of the general population, can think you identify with. There is a higher goal, and it will be attained regardless of party.
What a party does is it allows the population to feel like part of the population is responsible for whatever happens. It is not, and there is a means to the end either way. There is always a course to take that will get us where they want it all to go, while sustaining the illusion that the "other side" is responsible.

By the way, one of the parts they slipped in there was on universal healthcare(!). What the fuck is universal health care doing in an economic stimulus bill?!? That is not the place for it. A bill for universal health care is supposed to be its own bill.

Free your mind and look what some of your democrats really put in this emergency stimulus bill...its pathetic and a lie to the people. The dems who wrote this bill want gov's hand in everything and they believe they can make better decisions for us than we can. Blaming Bush and republicans for the faults made in the last 7 yrs does not solve our problems or address the shift of power from the people to the gov that some democrats want. 1/3 of the democratic party believes socialism would be good for this country, unfortunately this is the loudest voice in the dem party right now...very very scary imo.
Pelosi must be removed. We need more moderate democrats and true economic conservatives who will protect our freedoms and tax dollars.
