phil got small last year right after the arnold, took his 6 weeks off, then came back for the olympia and did well.

looks like he's just taking his brek early this time, giving him an extra month or two to grow UP to teh show ala levrone.

I don't think I said drugs don't play a role, my point is Ronnie is still big and for once he is taken his health into consideration.

Regarding probodybuilders, they do have good genetics but without drugs they would be nothing compared to the what they look like onstage. Of course the drugs play a huge role. If Kevin Levrone had been natural all his life he might have gotten up to 210 in contest shape. With the drugs he got up to 250 in contest condition. The years of drug use have changed him to the point now that if he simply were to do one cycle, eat right, and workout hard he would be up 240 shredded in no time flat.

As illustrated with Kevin Levrone, he is quit tiny when he is off and anyone who says that Levrone weighs 210 is full of shit.

Even with superior genetics, drugs make up AT LEAST 40% of the equation. Bob Chick (just like most pros) is prone to exaggeration. It's like when someone asks one of these guys how much they weigh, and the automatically tack 15 lbs on to their real weight. Same deal. None of them are going to be honest about it. 1%? Fucking bullshit.

I don't think that Levrone is 210 now either, of course he doesn't lift weights anymore. Steriods are not magic, it takes years of heavy lifting, good eating, and tons of drugs to get to the pro level. I said that Levrone had he completed as a nautral he could have gotten maybe up to 210 in contest shape. The fact that the juice works for him so fast now is just because of all the hyperplasia that occured during the years of hard training, good food, and drugs. You can reach the pros with smaller amounts of drugs but it's going to take even a genetically gifted guy alot longer to get there (Bob Chick).

after training for 20+ years you don't just lose all of your mass the second you stop everything. He isn't going to look like the jackson 5 after a year off.
