Title: The "Pro" bodybuilder mindset. Honesty vs. Integrity
Post by: TheLoner on February 21, 2009, 08:18:13 PM
When decoding the mindset/persona of most "Pro" body-builders from:

1.  Their own "words" from articles
2.  Reading quotes regarding the garbage they promote
3.  Talking to/listening to them personally...

we have two sets of personas when it comes to professional bodybuilders.

The first set would be what I would call "realists" when it comes to their profession.  These are men who are REAL when it comes to how they got to where they are and what they have had to sacrifice regarding their integrity and life to do so.  Honest, REAL and forthright men like Lee Haney and Mark Dugdale (both of which are STILL fine-Christian Men, just REAL about life and the huge part drugs play in being a "Professional Bodybuilder" for them) deserve the utmost respect from anyone who's ever touched a weight.  Both of these men have genetics handed down at birth ON TOP of being real about the role drugs have played in their movements through the pro ranks.  If you talk to them in person as men, they will be honest with you and tell you that hard work is just a part of the equation.  Taking things to the "next level" involved moving beyond what God gave them at birth and relying on science.  I have the UTMOST respect for men that are up front and REAL about the role AAS plays in their life.  They are not delusional enough to believe that they are so genetically superior to those around them that they would be where they are without AAS, or that you could take all the AAS in the world and not be them.

However, in contrast to these men, we have men that are ALL DRUGS and delusional as can be regarding the role they play in their lives.  I would place Ronnie Coleman, Gustavo Badell and Peter Putman in this category.  These are men that have lived lies for so long that they actually believe them.  If you were to ask these men, off the record, what has taken them to the "next level" they will mumble garbage about how "God" has blessed them when it comes to genetics.  These individuals are actually arrogant and delusional enough to proclaim that AAS plays a "small part...less than 10%" of their "success" and "gains" as bodybuilders.  They would also tell you that you could take the same amount of drugs they do and "never" look like them because "God" blessed them, believing they are "genetic freaks" and belitting you while throwing "God" in your face.  These "men" (and I use that loosely) represent everything that is WRONG with bodybuilding and fitness currently.  They have pimped themselves out in every way possible to promote garbage supplements while KNOWING that DRUGS are all that seperates them from 10+ people in the same zip code they live in.  "Do as I say, not as I do" is the mantra of these individuals, as they represent all that is wrong with bodybuilding.

I ask you:

Who do you have more respect for, men that are REAL about DRUGS and the role that they have played in the developement of their physique or men that LIE about and DOWNGRADE DRUGS and the role that they have played in their lives?  There are men in bodybuilding who are REAL and HONEST about this and men that are flat out LIARS and DELUSIONAL.

Whom do you respect?

IFBB bodybuilders only use a little bit of steroids the last few weeks before a show.  they are the genetic elite.

only the average gym rat who s a buck 50, 20% bf takes massive amounts of AAS, GH, slin, prostaglandins, beta adrenoceptor agonists, thyroid, and other misc. drugs.

In this video, Muscle Missions exposes the false teachings
that allow bodybuilder Mark Dugdale and others like him to justify
abusing drugs while proclaiming to be a Christian.

The Loser would be better suited for you Dan then The Loner. Dan Akers aka Alldrugs, Ego Crusher is consumed with Peter Putnam. Poor guy is jealous, lonely, and Drunk again.
