I love it when Tyson grabs his own mouth piece off the canvas, shoves it in his own mouth, and bits down on it when it's still hanging halfway out. He looks like some type of demented jackal bitting down on a pony's leg.

Tyson was cool.

to think what Tyson achieved at just 18 and 19 years old is fucking crazy. He was a jacked teenager kicking the shit out men almost twice his age.

He lost focus and was over confident.

Not to mention Douglas' standing 20 count.

I know it's hilarious when he does this.  He looks like an uncoordinated 5 yearold as he grabs and clumsily sticks it in his mouth.  You can tell theres not a lot going on upstairs and not to mention he just got devastated by Buster

yeah that was pathetic, Mike got the same count when he was down, but that doesn't negate the fact that Mike technically won the fight when he knocked Buster down first with the long count.  Bad ref.  Either way Mike was off his game big time, with firing Rooney, his Wife problems, not training properly for the fight, and his lousy corner, he was not himself and I think almost wanted to lose.

Hard to believe that was almost 20 years ago now.

Bullshit wishful thinking. At least half the equation was Buster Douglas, a technically very good fighter but rarely motivated enough, except for that night. Douglas was in fact a great fighter that night, and wanted it more. Everything else is just excuses, Douglas was great on that night.

The fight's also on youtube.

If Cus D'amoto didn't pass away Mike Tyson would have retired undefeated.

I never said Buster wasn't motivated that night, but he wasn't ever a really good fighter.  Previously he lost to Mitch Green before that fight and Tony Tucker, both of those men Mike beat before the fight pretty easy, Tucker was a little harder, but Mike won both those fights unanimously.  Those aren't excuses, if you watch Mike in the first round, it isn't the same Mike, he doesn't bob and weave and bounce like he did before, watch his fights when he had Rooney, how he moves, then watch the Douglas fight, totally different style.

Actually he had all the tools and was an excellent boxer with some power, when motivated. Which was hardly ever. He'd have given any great fighter a tough fight that one night, when motivated-it only happened then because his mom had died, he couldn't get motivated in other circumstances.
