Drop the price far enough, and I guarantee all those cars will sell...

It's not new cars that aren't selling, ...scrap dealers are having a heckuva time selling their metal to automakers cause they stopped making cars.

They cant do that.  The banks who lend to them will not allow it.

Supply and demand.
I would thnk the banks should want to make a smaller profit by selling for less, than no profit by not selling anything at all.

Me too, but they are looking at the fact that once Sandra gets used to paying 10k for a car that was listed at 20k, she will never pay the 20k again, and neither will anyone else.

You're clearly unaware of the dire financial situation in america....soon those cars won't sell even if they are tagged at five thousand dollars. Priced too low makes it impossible for the manufacturer to produce because it will cost more to make than to sell.

not necessarily.
If my income increases so that I can then afford a more expensive car, I would buy it.
Not the same model I paid 10k for, but I would still by a more expensive one if I could.

Not quite.  If you pay 10k for a nissan titan that was 20k, why would ever pay more again, regardless of your income?

If worse comes to worst, ...they can always melt them down and sell them to China as scrap metal.  :D
