Title: The hypocrisy of the Republicans; zero credibility as fiscal conservatives...
Post by: Deicide on March 03, 2009, 10:30:33 AM
It's funny how the Republicans are now opposing all the spending all of a sudden. Where were they the last 8 years? ??? ;)

They were carrying water for GWB.

However, everyone who blames GWB for the last few years ignores the fact that he was working with the Dem congress who encouraged huge spending as well.

Their conservative constituents have been wondering that for the past 8 years. It would be nice if the Democrats' constituents saw the same flaws in THIER  political leaders, seeing as how they are now spending about 5 times as much as the Republicans did. And the only arguement they have is "Oh yeah!! Well the Republicans spent 5 times less!!!!!" - and I'm thinking to myself - "what??????"
I used to only hate Democrat politicians, but I must say that I am increasingly starting to have contempt for the constituents who vote for them. It pains me to say that - because a lot of them are friends of mine.

Only because he tries to work within it but given the definition of Republican these days I would hardly call him that.

BAY, it wasn't just the Republicans....this crisis can be traced all the way back to 1971. Lots different administrations during that time.

No but the economy really tanked with them in control...and now with Barry at the helm, there isn't and confidence at all. These guys all think that the Dem will tax them into the ground, plus with all the rethoric being spewed by the gov, against business, can u blame them. Bush had a war to pay for....u can trace the cash flow, regardless of whether u agree or disagree. Bush FAILED to cut programs and waste...now Barry has taken that and gone completely nuts, along with bashing the potential bill payers.

I asked these fools at what point it will turn to Obama's fault and none of them will give me an answer.

Barry made this economy his when he signed that rediculous trillion dollar porkulous bill into law. He now owns this economy. No more blaming Bush. The Wall Steet Journal Op Ed today makes a great point about this. Even though The Wall Street Journal Op Ed page is globalist conservative, it has been very fair to Obama and has been willing to give him a chance despite his strange economic rhetoric during the presidential campaign.

That’s because the “tow truck” is PUSHING THE ECONOMY FURTHER INTO THE DITCH, instead of freeing the economy from it.

Say what you want about Bush. I am not his biggest fan. Obama however is throwing this country right down the toilet. Anyone who really thinks that solving the economy with more spending is really dumb, I mean dumber than a wet bag of cow shit.
Ronald Reagan came into office under conditions worse than what we are in now. He did not point fingers and come out all doom and gloom, "crisis" bullshit. He simply put forth the "Kennedy" plan of cutting taxes and regulations on businesses and wallla. the economy kicked ass and grew by leaps and bounds. The facts are facts.
Obama and his henchmen are destroying this great nation and doing so with one goal in mind, to bring about Socialism.
I hope he fails and fails miserably, I foresee a major fucking Tea Party if this shit keeps up. >:(
