I prefer the barbell myself but yes, it's still a good movement.

I would agree with BigJ, a Smith machine would be a second choice. But it is a great movement for many. Might adjust the incline bench a bit to find the best position/angle for you. Can make a lot if difference with regards to how it affect your chest & delts. Most guy's do not do that. Good Luck.

Dumbells are my favorite but smith machine is good too. Gotta mix it up.
-
As a variation it's great. But I don't care to do it all the time. My favorite would be to use a regular Barbell, then DB's, and finally HS before I'd consistently use the Smith for anything- chest in this case.
I actually am using it right now, but only because I've been using the aforementioned "accouterments" for the last 6+ months now.

Just as good as free weights, sometimes better.
-
I've used it a few times, not bad, but i prefer DB's. Might suit some poeple better though...
-
the smith helps me isolate my muscle more and doesnt feel as awkward as the bb incline
-
One of the few exercises that works best using a Smith machine IMO.
-
That shit's for girls. Get on a bench and use a barbell or some db's.
