With Station Casinos facing bankruptcy, will they use it to bail themselves out?

Nahh, just prepare for 3 PPVs a month instead of 2.  I'm sure they'll be up to 50 dollars a pop by the end of the year.

Hopefully not insane, but I think is possible that they might be tempted to
sell in order to save the family business, started by their father. They grew up in the gambling business,
born and raised in Vegas. I think they employ over 10000 people in Station Casinos (all the properties). I imagine
plenty of suitors would be interested.  What if HBO or Showtime or someone else took over the UFC?

Their main suitor is another gambling outfit: Boyd Gaming.

It's hard to know the extent of Station's financial woes because they're a privately owned company, but, all indications are that they're on the verge of bankruptcy, and, with the economy in the toilet, especially Vegas, it doesn't look like things will turn around.

I think the financial woes of Vegas are interesting.  Last weekend was Nascar.  They estimated it generated over $100 million in one week.  The "M" has just opened a multi billion dollar casino that hired almost 5000 employees.  The Venetian just had a huge hiring the past month.  Aliante just opened a few months ago.  The Fountinbleu is opening I think next year as is the City Center which is the largest development ever in Vegas at over $8 billion.  The largest LVAC just opened I think less than 6 months ago and already has over 8000 members.  i see the strip is alot less crowded than usual though.  I am actually busier now than I have been in 2 years.  I am actually turning down work and I just refunded a deposit because I just don't have the  time right now.  So for me things are great.

im with e.q on that, they busted thier asses turning the ufc into a goldmine and went through hell to get it where it is today.not only that, lorenzo and his bro got money in alot of other investments from what i heard so they will use other incomes to help out the casinos if needed.im sure art davies is kicking himself in the ass every day for selling the ufc back then,i remember an interview with davies saying he never imagined back then the ufc getting this huge,he admitted he never would have sold it if he knew it would have grown into the monster it is today.bump for davies honesty

The Las Vegas Review-Journal last week said there may be a UFC Hotel and Resort coming.
What do you think of that?  Would you stay there?  They would have automatic tie-ins with
the big fights, could be fun, but might be too narrow a market.

Hell Yeah it's Vegas. You figure if there were no fights going on you could do local shows, and people would stay there just to say that they stayed at the UFC hotel. Look at hooters for Crying out loud, that CASIONO SUCKS BALLS and it's packed to the brim, (when I lived there) I'd rather stay at the Excalibur then Hooters.. Place was small and cramped and a bunch of old ass pervs popping Viagra so they could at least walk away with something in their hands.  :-X

A UFC Hotel in Vegas...I would say Nah...But a "Fitness Hotel"(not that name of course) that would be open to many different types sports/arts would be a gold mine imop...
