Here is a short clip of Flex Wheeler's Hardbody video. It's part of the intro.
this is for those who say Phil is better than Flex. Take a look at him at his best.
-
nowhere near as good as Flex but still an incredible bodybuilder.
-
Another, from Mass Construction...
-
Not yet but he will be if he keeps going like he is.

Nada, as Phil gets bigger, his waist gets wider. His obliques are already shwoing the "growing strains". Flex looked better at a lighter bodyweight.

Ha ha ha ha ha Phil better than Flex , Flex is in a league all his own

Just an exceptional bodybuilder

I don't think Phil will get any bigger. His waist now is slightly bigger than Dexter's which is 30" onstage. Plus Phil outweighs Dexter by probably 15lbs. The goal I think is to refine like Silvio has. More back detail and bring the Ironman conditioning can win him the Olympia.
-
I guess I'll go against the grain here and say that Phil Heath is better.

Flex had the best genetics for shape in the history of the sport.
-
Flex is like Nasser with less mass.
-
Just an exceptional bodybuilder
Those back shots, show that nobody today had the detail that not only he had but all the rest of the top six (excluding Nasser) had in the 90's.
look at the freaking detailing, and the detail of the tris. No wonder Flex was dying after the Arnold Classic.
-
Flex's Christmas tree at the 93 olympia was ridiculous.
-
Flex was perfect.
-
Which bodybuilder was a better person? I think that is important too.
-
..this must be what if feels like to get old.
FLEX WHEELER....SO much better than Heath. No comparison...at all.
Heath has time though. But I'd say that Flex has him right from the beginning...just a genetic wonder. Really would have been nice to see him take a Mr O title during this current lack of talent.
-
Phil will never... EVER EEEEEVER be better than Flex Wheeler.
That is all.
-

this is true...
i love phil..
but wheeeler is bette by far
-
Ken Wheeler, ninja warrior with kung fu grip = one of the best bodybuilders of all time
Phil Heath, KFC and anadrol = one of the best bodybuilder competing today
Phil is good but Ken is better ;D
-
sometimes I wonder how it was even possible for flex to achieve the physique he did...
its like perfection a sculptor could not even create

X1000000000 ::)

Heath isn't better but his condition is more consistent. He came close last year, should have been 2nd at the O and was close to Dexter. He could definately win it depends upon Wolf showing up ready. I think there is too much oil in his arms to pass a physique like Flex's but he isn't far off.
-
Saying that Heath is better than Flex is ridiculous. Flex in '93 was unbeatable by anyone except a '93 Dorian and not for aesthetic reasons. He just had the best genetics ever with the smallest brain ever.
-

do you really think flex had that much to do with it? a sculptor can do whatever he wants.. a bodybuilder can only do what their genetics allow.
bodybuilding simply comes down to genetics.. the best genetics win.

and the will power to polish that genetic. ;)

just as long as there is something to polish...

In Flex's case, will power had nothing to do with it. He was known as a lazy bastard and could hardly find the will to get in condition most of the time. Had he trained and prepared himself half as hard as Dorian did, the sky was the limit. But he just never had it. He was just incredibly gifted.

I really appreciate your pragmatism. :)

Why is everyone always sayin' that Flex was a lazy trainer? Dude suffers like a M*therf*cker....???
-
the unrewarded Flex of 93' was the Best.
Todays IFBB - tend to be overweight for their frames.
-
the overwhelming visual evidence in favor of Flex has changed my mind. ::)
-
Phil Heath is more complete and freakier..
-
flex definitely

Charles Glass said that Flx was strong, and he had to tell Flex to not push it so hard, this was back in 1992-1993.
-
flex in 93 was small compared to his later years
Dont Dexter weigh as much as 93 Flex while being 4 inches shorter and in equal condition?

Flex and his gay ass unitards...
He was such an asshole back then.

Probably
Flex was a light-weight. This vid shows it. He weighed 218 at the 1993 Olympia, and 215 at the 1993 Arnold

Dexter is much heavier than Flex also, much thicker more complete physique.
He beats Flex handily

Dex, now has a gut, Flex at his best, circa 1992, 1993, never did. Plus, his back was more detailed. Legs were super shredded.
Flex's competition was light yrs better than Dex's. But Dex is FAR more consistent with his conditioning than Flex. Dex is like Shawn Ray in this area. And it was Flex that put Dex onto Joe Mcneil.
-
Flex's muscles were shaped like balloons.

Dex may be bigger but that's a matter of semantics , what separates Flex Wheeler from everyone else is his shape , his proportions , his super tiny joints and full round muscle bellies this is what makes him so special , Flex stands alone in the shape department , seriously alone
-
is dex bigger?
flex looks way bigger to me...

Too bad he didn't train with Dorian...would have been great to see number 2 train with number 1, and possibly surpass him. Which I seriously don't think Dorian would have minded.

Yes! you don't need more weight than that! if you don't look good at 220, being 250 is not magically gonna make you god.

Flex could beat Yates I have no doubts about that , I think Flex 93 ironman and ASC would have beat Yates , but Flex got compliant and after the accident he was never the same :-\

That MM shot beats out Phil's

Exactly, Flex didn't figure that out, and now, Flex's clone, Melvin Anthony, hasn't figured that out either. And he's gonna be 40 this yr :P
