Pictures are one thing,videos another and let's not even talk about "in the flesh" sight. Nasser always looked softer than Dorian or even Shawn. So at least he should have looked considerably fuller. Which he didn't. Get testimonies of guys who actually attended those Olympias. I've never heard anyone who were actually there saying that Nasser wasas thick as Dorian from the side nor from the back of course.

Nasser's legs are short and his ab area very long so his mid and lower back area was very hard to fill out. It was his worst bodypart. Throw in the synthol lumps in his back, and rear delts and it just looked like a mess. Towards the end of his career he got rid of the back synthol, and only his upper back remained.

It's not that he was thin from the sides in absolute terms: he was thin for his incredible width and especially when compared to someone like Yates, who had over-the-top muscle thickness - the result of years doing barbell rows and decline barbell presses past failure.

Can't see where you expect him to be thicker? His back is showing incredible thickness. Most people's chest look very flat in the ab-thigh or front double bicep pose yet you can still see some thickness in his chest even though his arms are stretched.

Yates was NOT thicker than Nasser! Here's the 97 Olympia (Yates' biggest) and one of Nasser's smallest (both at 270 lbs) and they're at a similar angle and no Yates is not thicker.

Yep, he was thicker and not as blocky as Nasser, which is why he looked better in the front lat spread.

hahaha, ND is going to come on here any second and have a meltdown, and say that he won't "entertain" (he loves that word!) the idea that Nasser was comparable to yates from the back and that Yates "left him for the dead" (another over-used phrase by ND).

Before ND melts I'll admit Yates' back muscles themselves are more developed there, but that's only part of the shot. Nasser's delts and arms are "light years" (another ND term) ahead of Yates, and Nasser's hamstrings are more ripped. My point of posting it is that Nasser was not that weak from the back like others suggest.

Every succesful pro used/uses oil of some sort. Nasser never used synthol, but esceline.

Nasser's lumps at the tail-end of his career were due to scar tissue, not oil of any sort. Anyone who knows much about bodybuilding would know this.

BTW, what happened to him mid way through 1999. He had finally won the Arnold and was building momentum up to the Olympia when it just appeared his body stopped responding. Did he get ill??? It just seemed like his career derailed at that point.

I'd have to hire a secretary to go through your 5000 posts. Yes, he had an excellent career and is known worldwide as one of the best of the 90's. He was consistent, that's for sure.

You are delusional if you believe this. Both him, Levrone, and Wheeler all used copious amounts of Escileince when it was readily available, and they all switched to synthol when it became scarce on the black market.

Even if you lack the common sense to see this...it has been confirmed by other pros in verious interviews. (Lee Priest comes to mind...he has gone on record about Nasser's Escilene/Synthol use).

You'd never know Yates is lighter judging by that pic , another pose Nasser doesn't know how to do , 1/4 turns , front latspread , side chest , he knows how to do a proper back double biceps but it helps to have a damn back in order to do the shot

Nasser said EVERYONE in bodybuilding uses synthol , yet he is the sole exception lol epic nonsense

I'll be frank, I don't give two shits what Nasser put in his delts & arms. Synthol or not, he put something in there and made himself look like a fool. His denial and public carping during and subsequent to his final competitive years is ridiculous. For an allegedly intelligent man, he exercised very poor judgment in injecting whatever it was. Perhaps if he had concentrated more on back training instead, he might have had a snowball's chance against the likes of Yates and Coleman.
