Post by: Go 4 It on March 27, 2009, 02:07:13 PM
Hey guys, I'm wondering what would be considered high/med/low carb for a 175 pound guy...right now I'm taking in around 2grams per pound or more so is that high??

175lb guy? You must be talking about your younger brother. Nobody on Getbig weighs 175lbs...

So tell your brother that a HIGH DAY would be about 250-300g/day.

MEDIUM DAY would be around 150-200g/day.

LOW DAY would be about 50-100g/day.

That's a rough estimate. Tell him to not worry about it and keep the protein at 250g/day, carbs at 500g/day and fats at 90g/day and train like a man. Hopefully he'll break into the 200lb barrier by July.

Great to see you answering questions in here :)
carbs and fat seem kinda high? i would gain too fast on that.

my carbs are in the medium range for dieting (190 & 140g) for growing they're between 300-400g. Fat around 50g year round (red meat & nuts) I'm 190lbs btw.
