Just because Chris throws a couple of dollars your way doesn't mean his products are worth a shit and you should not be spamming his products. It is already known his products have given members here the shits. I will stick with quality brands such as ON and Labrada.

I don't think AtLarge Nutrition puts out a lot of crappy products, but I personally stay away from most protein bars because they're loaded with sugar alcohols. So I have nothing against Chris Mason or his company - just not a "protein bar" kinda guy!

i've been giving out samples of the cookie dough bars both at work in the gym, to my clients, and i will be bringing some to the show of hands this saturday for everyone to try! I'll be honest... it's been very hard to put them aside for samples and not eat them like candy. VERY low carb, very filling, tastes FANTASTIC and they don't have the chalky taste that most meal replacement bars do and with 36 grams of protien..they deliver more bio-available macros than any other bar on the market that i've sampled! AWESOME BARS CHRIS! Also for those trying to watch their diet but are having a hard time giving up the sweet stuff like me.. i've been having a cookie dough bar as a replacement for cookies and candy bars with a glass of milk a day and it's much easier to leave the bad stuff be when i have these on hand. i keep a few in my office at work for when i can't make lunch with back to back clients and my girlfriend even has them stashed in her purse now whenever i get dragged along on "shopping trips" and start to get cranky from lack of food 6 hours in.. guys i know you know what i'm talking about!
no chris doesn't pay me..but i am one of the ALN athletes and get product samples to try and only try the ones i'm interested in. I've yet to meet anyone that didn't like anything they've made after giving it a shot to date. I'm a big protien bar guy just because i'm also so damned busy wiht work and LOVE this.. i used to eat the big100 bars but didn't like how chalky they got but they tasted better than anything else i tried until i got my hands on these bars. Trust me, if i didn't like them, i wouldn't bad mouth them, but i wouldn't advocate them either. Even my clients that have particular stomachs are having zero issues with these. definately worth a try..

Sugar alcohols can cause intestinal discomfort, but said effects vary with the individual and type of sugar alcohol. Maltitol is not quite as bad from my experience as some others and that is the primary form in Novus bars. In fact, maltitol may have some health promoting effects.
On a personal note, I had tried some bars that had sugar alcohols in them and I DID have issues, but NOT with our Novus bars.
In addition, I have sponsored more than one Getbig contest, and unlike some of the sponsors I actually have sent the products to the winners when provided what they want and their addresses. So, I think someone mentioning a new product of ours on this site is not out of line.

If you want to promote here I believe you should post a lab assay of your Novus bar. I am skeptical about whats actually in some products.

very true aln has sponsered a number of getbig competitions and chris has always come through and in my case went above and beyond what was promised, to be fair ive only tried Results but is a great supplement.

you'd be the only one i've ever met to say that.. everyone that got to try the samples at the grip comp loved it and had alot of requests for other aln product samples or even if i had some one hand to purchase at that moment. I shoudl've went more prepared. People were eating them and those interested were taking results, trying opticen for those who didnt' get a chance to have breakfast, etc. Not a single person said anything negative nor did i find any aln products that didnt' get finished in the sample cups. I asked for actual critical feedback and the only negative comment i got was that i didn't bring anything but chocolate...

These bars are shit and I am sure of this because Chris Mason the owner of AtLarge Nutrition refuses to post a lab assay of the contents of this bar. Any legit compnay would not be fearful of publishing this information. This bar probably is comparable to a snickers bar and I am sure a snickers is more nutritionally sound. So what Chris, you offered $50.00 in free supplements, your cost probably nil, to the winner of a pull-up contest and now you think you have the right to advertise here, get lost, lets bring this issue up with Ron!!!!!!

Kidding? NO! Any reputable company in the WORLD will have an assay as to what their products contain. I have worked in the supplement business for YEARS. Chris is unwilling to post an assay because he doesn't have one or if he does I guarantee you the bar DOES NOT meet label claims.

my client gave me one cause i mentioned i hadn't eaten and what does she pull otu of her bag but a novus bar ..chocolate chip! MY FAV!
apparenlty they're a big hit all over! the customers at the gym i train out of that got samples keep asking where they can get them and wether or not the gym sells them. I just give them the site addy and go from there. REsults has become popular too! I keep jugs of all my products at work for samples and apparently there's something for everyone. As a whole though..results is the most popular but the convenience of a novus bar has QUICKLY caught on...
and not a single person has said anything negative about any aln product to date.. i tell them i want constructive feedback so that i cna give it back to my sponsors and have recieved nothing negative save make the results jug OPENING bigger because some guys can't get their hands in it HAHA>

Still waiting for a lab assay so I can be an informed consumer, I know one will never be produced because the bar DOES NOT MEET LABEL CLAIMS!! The bar probably contains tons of sugar and fillers so it tastes good but is counterprodutive to what a nutrition bar should actually be. Total CRAP!

Geno, I would stay away from these candy bars disguised as nutritional bars. They contain a shitload of sugar and are sure to make you break out.

Protein bars are bad new.Most contain Hydrolised collagen protein, as there main ingredient, or soy Protein.Collagen protein is made from the remains of an animal, the skin bones, hooves, anus skin, the parts they cant use.They put these parts in large bathsd until they turn to liquid.
Hydolised protein, geletain protein or collagen protein, is junk.Alot of companies try to dusguise the name.
Alos another problem with bars is they are made by candy companies for the protein manufactures.Because bar manufac turing equiptment is expensive they sub contract the job to Hershey, or another company.
So god knows what the bar really is when its done.
Plus to make matters worse, they use heat to bake some of these bars, to put the chocolate coating on the bar.When protein is heated it denatures the bar making the protein content useless.
I persoanly stay away from protein bars, they have to many fillers, use inferior protein, and basically contain a ton of gylcerin.Which makes me tired becasuse it creates a spike in my insulin levels, for a brief moment followed by a massive crash.Protein have so much shit in them they are just bascially proceesed crap.
You cant get lean or look good eating protein bars.If you want a bar, eat a candy bar, chocolaste is good for you, it releases endophins in your body, and can increase mood.In some studies it has shown that the PEA in chocolate, can actually help stop the release of cortisol.
Fuck protein bars, give me a some peanut M&M'S , Reeses, peanut butter cups, mint 3 Muskateers, or some Ghiradelli chocolate.
Why screw around with protein bars, when you can have the real deal?
Candy bars taste better, and are better for you.
Sorbitol, Malitol, and sugar alchogols, is a bunch of garbage.
This stuff can really fuck up your digestive system.Nothing like crapping your pants if you eat to much of this crap.
I have nothing against Chris Mason, maybe his bar is good.But protein bars in general, are pretty much garbage.
