It is! I check where it's  being held at.. and it's not the White House  ;D . It's a Middle School.

Well, I sent an email asking.

Question Me : "Brian, I know your busy but I have to ask about the  Absolutely  no
spectators allowed, Why is that? I have never heard of that before"

Reply: Brian

"Its a meet for lifters only"

I'd say that confirms epic schmoeness right there.

Some strange people in this world. Well at least let us know how the "meet" goes. :-X

I would give it a miss. Weird arrangement and a rude reply. Wouldn't bother giving them money for an entry

Theres a meet in VA exactly one week earlier. Think I will make that one instead.

Got this from somebody who knows,

"The venue has very limited space in general, and virtually no seating for spectators. If there are 40 lifters there, they'll be elbow to elbow without spectators.

I did Brian's 2006 AAU Larry Garro Memorial meet. It was run very well, and I enjoyed doing it, but it was held in the weight room of the same Dumbarton Middle School in Towson MD, which is not set up for spectators"

True, but it also seems his attitude stinks. He didn't even take the time to explain the confinements of space in reply to John O's enquiry.

Yeah..

Email the guy and ask if the meet is an Musclebear event?  8)

Sounds ridiculous.

Could be that they don't want people to film the lifts either. Then every lift can get three whites without ever ending up on the net and getting questioned. ;D

So look out for a Personal Record/Salami slam Festival. :-X
