Mejnn today i wanted to quit drinking coffee, i was fucking pissed in the morning, couldnt wake up properly and i were shouting.
I wanted to quit cause i want to quit smoking one day and thats hard when you drink lots of coffee. I have to wake up 4 am for work so on that shift i consume some large amounts of douwe egberts coffee.
So half hour ago i asked myself what the hell am i doing, whats the purpose in life, wtf? I guess its searching for reasons, because i craved a cup. I can tell you one thing i just drank some and it felt like drugs, i could feel the damn coffeine possesing my brain in a couple of seconds as i took a sip. Its good, im back.

Stopping having caffeine has been one of my best decisions in terms of health, energy and especially mood.
Caffeine is like a double-edged sword, it does make your mind sharper and gives you a boost of energy....but then you crash and you're worse off, feel even more crap and then need more.
I find it best to try keep my sugar levels level which gives a more steady, constant amount of energy without any spikes and crashes.
I just replaced the habbit of sipping a mug of a warm drink while watching TV or on computer with something else, I now drink rooibos tea which is naturally caffeine free. There are also quite a few naturally caffeine free coffee's made from rye, barley etc.
I've reduced decaf, since like regular coffee it is quite acidic, possibly even more due to the process to get rid of the caffeine.

Not everyone crashes from Coffee, especially if they are used to downing cupfuls of it everyday. And Coffee is teh awesome.

damn man some of you guys sound like addicts, i've never had any kind of "crash" from stopping caffeine after 10am, i have two cups, one at 6:30am and one at 9:45 or so before i train and then none for the rest of the day.

you get up at 6:30?
yes, in bed by 10 or 10:30 at the latest, only on weekdays though.

Caffeine can be bad.
I always have a strong cup in the morning and usually one in the afternoon or early evening. You have too much caffeine, then your mood, focus, hydration and many other things go out of order.

caffiene in a moderate doseage once daily is quite healthy.
as far as a "crash" caffiene inhibits fatigue, and when it wears off, you are exactly as fatigued as you would have been had you not taken any caffiene. basically it fools you into thinking youve got energy, then it goes away and you realize how much energy you truly have. lets say you wake up at 5 and drink coffee. and another day you wake up and dont drink coffee. at 9 oclck the coffe wears off. at 930 you feel the exact same on both days.

One way to avoid a caffeine or any stimulant crash is to smoke some weed.
