they went to Dubai to compete in Mr. Asia.... only to see everybody is on steroids, but they just thought their equipment

then their airplane didn't have enough seats so they missed the nationals ...
some where in the middle they paid $800 for some nitro tech and cell tech  :-\

never be sorry for ignorance. If they weren't so selfish they'd help that 13th century shithole they live in emerge from the dark ages and join the rest of the world. they pursue a selfish hobby with selfish goals. That is sad.

There is definetly a workout culture in Afghanistan. All of our interpreters lifted weights but not many wanted to be massive. Flipping through MD always blew their minds. They didn't like muscular women though.

In Kandahar city they have a couple gyms and even a supplement store. Early on in the tour I saw a sign with Ronnie Coleman on one side and Gunter on the other. It was pretty neat.

I live in Afghanistan and have for 4 years since 2003. Bodybuilding is big here and you find paintings of pros outside every gym. Sometimes they are random in the city. Guys I work with always want me to get them supplements from the camps because they say the stuff they get is fake. One guys brother competes where I work. I am the only American at and Afghan company...

if they seriously planned on living the dream with a successful career in bodybuilding and didnt fucking realize the sport is dominated by steroids then they deserve whatever disappointment they felt. dumb asses.

Man, it can't even be THAT hard. bb.com ships to Army Stations in Afghan. If you were stationed there you could just do that and still make a fuckload of money.

they are like bodybuilders in the 30's ... they don't even have the training and nutritional knowledge, let alone drug knowledge

hahaha scamming a bunch of poor souls for money, i guess people who live here believe in the "supplements" too, companies like MUSCLETECH
take the money out of the pocket of out of shape soccer dads and pump it into bodybuilding ... which is cool by me   8)

It's their own fault for not educating themselves. The guy paid $880 for a box of supplements, when they could just hop over the border and get steroids for 1/10th of that.

The gym owner just sold Hamid "pure carbohydrates". Why the fuck would you buy that if you're poor? Just eat more rice.

These guys are 100 times more gullible than teenagers walking into GNC for their first time.

Very good documentary, thanks for linking.

Agreed... I wouldn't be selling $35.00 protien (retail???) for $100.00 let alone going to the military post office with a truck. There is a right was and a wrong way to do everything. A reputable wholesale distributer would be my choice.
