Or go completely overboard like the mother of a friend of mine. One night during our junior year, he gave her too much lip, and instead of beating his ass, she went to K-Mart, bought the dorkiest outfit she could find, and made him wear it to school for one week straight. His girl dumped him, he got his ass kicked at least twice, and even the special ed kids laughed at him. He never recovered.

Kids like that need the shit beaten out of them. You guys remember that clip from that stupid talk show where the cocky kid slaps his mom across the face? I would have stomped his fucking teeth in if I were the mother.
Nowadays, you hit your kids and you're behind bars. Absolute bullshit. That's why kids are bottling up their emotions and shooting up the place once they can't deal with it any longer.
My parents would NEVER take shit like that from me, and I have an amazing relationship with them now. They let me run wild pretty much, but I was always respectful towards them. Never got in serious shit with the law or did anything seriously bad, but they did let the reigns loose a little so I could get real life experience. I guess it's a delicate balance. But those parents let shit slide way too far. Kid should have gotten slapped in the mouth 20 seconds into the argument.

Fucking nerds, got a 28 year old kid in one of my college classes who don't show up to school 3 out of the 5 days a week so he can play WoW. Kid has even got it installed on the school computers so he can play it in class.

friend of mine pretty much dropped out of college cuz of it (not to mention broke up with gf prior to that)... one of the smartest people i know, no joke :-\

Some guy who plays WoW has over 600 days played. That means he has been controlling his in-game charecter for over 600 real days of his life. LoL :o
It's a good game but you just have to keep it under control lol. It gets addictive when you build up a group of people who you play the game with and you talk to them nearly every day with microphone lol.
When i played it alot, everytime i logged in this one sweedish guy would send a message to me telling me to go talk to him with microphone lol ended up having 4+ hour conversations, the other people in the house thought i was nuts.

I had a phase where I got stuck into wow... thankfully I got out of it. Only after you've stopped playing it you realize how pathetic the game really is.
