Obviously Karl puts us all to shame.
HHH-was a really nice guy and was huge.
Rey Mysterio- not a fan but seemed cool. He's really shirt 5'5" tops.
Brutus Beefcake-Awesome guy, very charasmatic
John Cena-talked to him a bunch of times, just a great down to Earth person.
Sable-hot as hell in person, Marvelous Mark was jealous of my pimp hand
Earl Hebner-douche lol
Simon Dean/Nova-cool guy
A-train/Giant Bernard-grew up near him, a class act all the way. Very helpful in terms of training advice
Pat Patterson-quiet guy, but nice
Headbangers-quiet but very friendly
Jim Ross-class act, talked for a few minutes
Test-came into my old work, nice guy and bigger in person R.I.P.

Shane Douglas
Chris & Tammy Candido
Foley
Balls Mahoney
Sandman
King Kong Bundy
Chris Daniels
AJ Styles
Sanjay
Abyss
New Jack
Southern Comfort
Probably a few more I’m forgetting.
Most I only met briefly in passing.
All nice folks.
Douglas stands out as the classiest – shook hands, asked how you were, and very engaging – even if he had no recollection of who the fvck you were. He just treated everyone with respect.

I grew up with santino marella. Same age as me. I still remember training chest with him one monday night when he told me that he got a contract with WWE and was flying out to Kentucky. He was the one Jim Cornette slapped in the face.

I have pics from like 87 to 00 of guys I met but my damn scanner is messed up again. I will get them up one day.

Living and growing up in toronto I also met Edge & Christian. We all had a laugh at Gold's Gym in Mississauga one night. They tried to come in back in the 2002 and figured because they were "stars" that they could just walk in and workout for free. They got tossed. Funny as shit. :D I also saw Edge in a bar last year when he was taking time off to let his pec tair heel. Real tall & skinny. I could have sworn that it was Kizarny with him.

That really shows the mentality of some "stars."
They were probably making six figures by then...
PAY the ten bucks or whatever it was for a day pass!
Why do so many "celebs" develop that sense of entitlement?
Okay, you're a tall, skinny dude on TV.
Congratulations for making a good living doing something you like.
None of that entitles you to more than anyone else in this gym. :-\

When WWE and WCW would come to house shows here in Baltimore, I would see a lot of guys at the after hours spots rolling on Ecstasy after the shows. Rey Mysterio, Konnan, and a few others would be fucked up out of their minds. Rey Mysterio is a little chain smoking little bastard. Nice guy though, but most people are when they take ecstasy.
Met Randy Savage Tito Santana, Andre the giant, Ultimate Warrior, Slick, and a few others when backstage at a 1987 WWE show in Landover, MD. They were taping a Saturday Night's Main Event. Hulk Hogan vs. Andre in the main event. I got to go backstage because my dad's friend did the lighting and was a rigger at the Cap Centre. I was 14 years old. As soon as I walked in there was a white limo. The door opened and Randy Savage came out the limo and was walking toward us. Saw Elizabeth right behind him. Randy Savage looked down at me and my little cousin and said in that macho man voice, " How you'all doin?" I don't think I was really allowed to be backstage, though because I got a lot of mean looks from some of the wrestlers. Andre the Giant was fucking gi-nourmous in person! My father still talks to this day about how shocking it was to see such a large human being like that in person. He had the biggest head I have ever seen still to this day.
But it was awesome! Cool Memories.

I agree. Egos start to kick in on these guys eventually.

Did Andre shoot you a mean look?
I've heard many times that he really didn't like people.

Hey,
The only wrestler who deserves a free $10 day pass to a gym is Virgil because he once had his picture taken holding the WWF title for the guy he managed worked for took orders from.
Oh, and Roddy Piper was once forced to work an angle with him.

That's cool. I went to college with a guy that lived near the Kowloon, a Chinese place near Boston that all the wrestlers go to after a show when they're in town. He had dozens of pictures with them, although i told him he was a douche for bothering them during a meal. ;D

Andre didn't see me. He was walking across the room to the food table to eat something. No bullshit!
Ultimate Warrior was standing off to the side by himself. This was when he first came to the WWE, late 1987. He was wrestling a dark match on the card and he was the opening match. He was literally psyching himself up in the corner, getting pumped up. Probably was about to due an interview with Mean Gene or getting ready to run full speed to the ring. He looked fucking huge!

Former WWF’ers have said Hellwig was cool when he first came to the fed, but after his big push he became a bit prick-like – would no longer shake hands with the boys in the back, etc.
Heenan said that eventually he got on just about everybody’s bad side.
He was jacked, though.
I read that he was almost fired after one of his very first matches.
He ran to the ring, shook the ropes, beat his chest, and pinned the jobber in about 15 sec.
I forget who the road agent was, but it’s said he went ballistic on UW!

lol....good call on that. I was at a stadium bar with my wife and best friend last year when I looked over at a table of pretty tall and some built guys thinking, "who are these guys"? Sure enough it was Edge, Kizarny and a couple of independant show workers. I didn't approach them and no one else did either. IMO it would look gay to approach them.

Lawrence Taylor.

The only people who should approach men in a bar are women and Pat Patterson.
