This has been bugging me for a while
lets say u have a jug of whey protein powder
and 1 scoop = 25g protein
how do the companies know that the amount of powder that falls into the scoop when u scoop it is equal to 25g??
-
It's an approximation. Use a digital scale if you want to be precise.

because the scoop holds 25g?
that's why they say "approximately" :D

i dont care about being precise. i just always wondered how they determined all that protein in the jug would equal 25g when it fall in scoop

why are you using protein powder? egg whites are better

and who carries around egg whites??
some guys on getbig interrupt sex to grab a quick meal just avoid "wasting muscle"..if you are serious about being the next big thing then you will carry about a propane tank and mini skillet to prep egg whites.
I mean c'mon, which getbigger would risk missing one of their 8 daily meals?

how many grams of protein is a scoop of egg whites?

I think there are different types of scoops too, determined by which protein powder you purchase. At the scoops at various protein powders at work, if you keep it pretty level in the scoop, you reach the 25g, etc.

In that case...

Gene it's cool, we all get confused sometimes. Just train hard and eat protein.
-
Nonsense. The Getbigistrator is eternally serene.

different types of whey proteins have certain protein %. normal scooper holds 30g of powder. take 30g and multiply by the protein % of your protein powder. then you get the g of protein per scoop.

how come if I buy a scoop of ice cream, they always give me a little bit more than one scoop?

Why are there 13 in a baker's dozen?

Is your 'IQ' over 80 ??
I weigh every-thing, even my cum load after a 3 day abstinence goes on the scales.
I Zero the scales with the Kitchen roll first, then go back when I have shot me one & give it a gander on the scales.
But fuck me, cause I have 'OCD' in fucking Aces ::)

I am a little surprise that a frequent getbigger like you will have this confusion....everything got the approx weight of protein, cal, fat etc etc of each serving, like milk, canned tuna, everything...

Why are there 13 in a baker's dozen?
In the 13th century, bakers could face serious punishment, losing a hand, etc. if they were found to be ripping off their customers. So, to make sure they never had to face a charge like that, they would put 13 in each 'dozen', so even if one was burnt, the customer would still have 12 good ones.
-
its pretty funny how the manufacturers use plastic scoops to fool the consumer...the worst is when they sell one product that says you get 30 grm per servings and then a competitor product claimes 60 grms a serving at twice the price while all they do is require two scoops per serving of the exact same product instead of one...how stupid do they think we are?

Well I'll be damned. I did not know that. 8)
