Title: What is this strange feeling I have???
Post by: Wiggs on April 11, 2009, 11:37:25 PM
I just started ECA today and I have a euphoric feeling.
In addition, I feel a little lethargic.

Now I'm on t-3, clen and ECA...living the dream.  Clean diet and 60-70 min of cardio per day.
I'm expecting some great results.

Baby Wiggs......

Ephedrine gives you a meth-like high followed by a down affect several hours later.

That's typical and one of the reasons I don't like using it much.

You're not living the dream until you've tasted Sasha Gray's tight white ass, bro.

That's living a dream.   ;D

Vet was on here a while back talking about the guaifenesin, and how it is used as an anesthetic drug in large animals. He also said It has distinct sedative properties and causes muscle relaxation, and that sedation is a common side effect in humans. There have been times when I have taken Ephedrine with Guafenisin and have fallen asleep, or become very sleepy, even before the drug had a chance to start wearing off. Ive often wondered if this is the cause of the lethargy, since Vet spoke on this.

I couldn't find any evidence for it having sedative properties in humans. Like I said it's not listed as a side effect. Haven't noticed that side myself either.

Yeah I just read that in the link that I posted. I just found it quite interesting that Vet had mentioned that effect, because I feel lethargic on ephedrine sometimes. Not all the time, just sometimes. Its not the crash, because sometimes I feel pretty sleepy 20 - 30 minutes after taking a 50mg dose.

Damn! I have this to going on when i take bronkaid!

I feel sleepy and lethargic, and YES sometimes i have fallen asleep too....

I have always wondered, how come i get all these, isn't ephedrine supposed to be a stimulant?  ???

I get that a lot, even with just caffeine. Depends on the time of day I take stimulants, how much sleep I've gotten, what I've eaten etc. Some of the best naps I've taken have been after taking stimulants.  :D Like today, got up and took some, checked the net and went back to sleep for a couple of hours.

Guaifenisen is one of those strange drugs....   Its commonly used for one purpose in veterinary medicine across multiple species, but you have a hard time finding a reference to it having the same use in human medicine.  There are limited references since the 1960's using it as a sedative type drug in humans.  I think for the simple fact that it really has no analgesic properties.  If you compare human and veterinary anesthesia, human anesthesia has a very strong curve towards drugs and combinations that provide at least some form of analgesia.  In veterinary medicine, thats often overlooked and honestly, is only recently being considered.   Traditionally the approach was to "keep em down".   There are still heated debate to the degree of pain some species "feels".

Guaifenisen is commonly combined with opoids also in human medicine.  Sedation is listed as a side effect of these combination drugs, but its not specified if its due to the guaifenisen or the opoid.

This drug is used too often for its sedative/muscle relaxing in too many species in veterinary medicine for me to think that it doesn't have a similar effect on humans.

Check the pure guaifenesin drugs. Only listed side is an allergic reaction.

Thats the "caffeine crash".

Well, I get it within the first 1-2 hours, just when it starts peaking.

In the elderly caffeine actually helps them sleep.
