Title: David Henry - 202lb winner and 15th at the O. Your thoughts?
Post by: Per Se on April 12, 2009, 07:16:34 PM
He won the 202 title, and placed 15th in the real Olympia contest.  Should he have placed higher?  I think he looks awesome.

David's muscle shape, maturity and conditioning is simply insane; he used to be a sub par smaller bodybuilder and now flirts with shawn ray's status.

However, much like "Seean" he has a huge attitude problem and it affects his placing.

Why are you so obsessed with white men? Does your love for milk affects your judgment?

I always felt he was like  Lee Priest, except he's more complete, and with a bigger chest. And had the controversial attitude as well.

Apparently he apologized for his "attitude" and apologized to Ron as well.

...I digress,

But I've noticed you use the term Aryan A LOT.  You do know that the terms white and Aryan are not interchangeable?

Pound for pound, David Henry can be considered the best bodybuilder, if he only competed against competitors under 200 pounds.

However, when you bring in the heavyweights against him, he has no chance.  They are bigger, more muscular, sometimes more symmetrical, and the physical domination is too apparent and very hard to judge.

Which is why, I am pretty sure, that they are NOT letting the competitors this year compete in both shows on the same weekend. You need to choose one - you can be the best 202lb and under bodybuilder in the world, or just place out of the top 10 in other shows competing against the big guys.

As for David and his attitude, I think that was just a rookie mistake moving into the limelight and not dealing with press and people who admired him.  That was a long time ago now, and David has been cordial to many since the beginning of 2008, etc.

Let it be...

He have awesome size on his upper body but his legs are weak. Anyway he looks very good from the side and even better from the back, but I think he isn't good from the front and I don't like his proportions.

BTW here is a pic from the 2008 Tampa Pro which he won (I placed 6th). I standed next to him and he's better but not by a country mile...but that just my opinion. And I'm a rookie pro without any high placings.

You would have thought all those 750lb deadlifts Steve Namat was performing when he was 15 years old would have helped him create a larger back.

Yeah he was on here a few months ago spouting off those claims like a big shot.

I had to quickly put him in his place... lets just say the subject hasn't come up very much recently and leave it at that.

Since I was a competitive bodybuilder I never did the deadlifts too seriously. I did them sometimes (maybe in every 3-4 weeks) and my best was always a 4-5 x 550 set.

Now I'm just doing stiff leg deadlifts for hams but with moderate weight and high reps.

Nah he claims that he "peaked" in his ability to deadlift as a teenager.

All evidence, video or photos of this alleged lift have disappeared too, coincidentally.....

As a teenager I did deadlifts in every week, very hard, for at almost 45 minutes per session. And I did 530.

530 at 17 (natural) is far better then 5 x 550 at 23, isn't it?  ::)
