Too many paper certs out there. The internet ruined any hopes of candidates passing the test and then actually applying the knowledge. Troytec had EXACT questions from the test for christs sake.
(Bernie Maddoff got away with all his ponzi scheming because of faulty network security.)

cant pass the lab and get past the interview process ;D
the CCIE lab actually requires you to bring up a corporate network from scratch on the given equiptment
there is a reason there have only some 17k people passed since 1993 :)

lol i took one of the microsoft tests, and the names of the people in the examples were the same as on the test prep website I used. I LOL'd during the test. Ending up scoring like a 980. Missed a Q I hadn't seen before lol...

I just got my MCTIP (server 2008) last year, which is the replacement for MCSE 2003, I got my new CCNA cert(since any CCNA cert must be renewed every 3 yrs) , Right now, I'm training for VoiP( VOICE OVER IP) which is the future for any serious Network, but all and all, CCIE is pretty Hard, if you can get enough Hands-on, real life experience with Cisco, CCIE is your Ultimate, go-to Field that will almost, always garenty you a Job, and the salary, well, find out for yourself :)

I wouldn't say fucked. I have more trust in Cisco exams, than those Brainless Microsoft tests. I have seen people failing the Lowly CCNA at least 5 times and I am not bullshitting you..... ;D
-
no no - i meant 960 or 980 on the MS test.
On the cisco, i was very shoddy... 700 with a few guesses. i came home that day and gave up on networking. Studying for months and months and failing when I was so so ready. Crushing :(
