- Functional kidneys as of today (out: Prince's dialysis machine)
- Inspirational (out: Ken Jones & Jocelyn Pelletier)

Shitty genetics, shitty lines but still ripped like a mofo. In today's scene, wouldn't even make it to the Nationals. However, amazing perseverance and a great businessman.

In 1993, Doz redefined the word 'mass' and went on to win 6 Schmandow's. However, Dorian's Seclusiveness didn't play well; even Arnold made many comments about it in the mid-late 90's. Later showed a mess of a physique with more tears than dirt rag.

Perseverance is the key, clean lifestyle and still going strong flirting with 40 and still looking 30 at most. Not the most exciting guy around but can be called a true model of success and consistency.

#4 Arnold Schwarzenegger
the King of modern bodybuilding, not much to say. However, Arnold's early career involvment with some schmoes (rumor is this is how he "bought" his first gym) was at best "questionable". Most inspiring physique of all time.

In August 1997, he was shot three times in an attempted robbery. He went from almost losing his life to competing in the highest echelons of bodybuilding as a professional. He also holds a BA in electronics. Enough said. George's only vice was to befriend with Kamali which he later regretted dearly.
#2 Porter Cottrell
well spoken individual who loved bodybuilding and didn't get along with Sean Rey, a big plus. Porter did everything he could to save Momo's life; as an active firefighter, it was his duty. Following the incident he was very vocal about diuretics testing. Soon after, he retired. Only bodybuilder in history not too selfish to try save someone else's life.

Not only Big Ron is a Renaissance Man himself, he held a full time job all the way until 2001. from 1992 to 1997, competed as a pro, in his own words "simply as a hobby". He inspired millions with his 2000 'The unbelievable' DVD. No lavish lifestyle for Ronnie; except for maybe a Bentley. No run in with the law either; except when trying to put on his ridiculously small bullet proof vest.

Your list is full of holes, and does not meet the very criteria you stipulated at the beginning.
George Farah, while being shot three times, rumor has it was because he was involved in a shady underworld and he conned some guys out of product of some sort and the result was being shot. I also heard this occurred on two separate occasions.
Toney Freeman, while I like the guy, someone here posted a video of him a few weeks/months ago, of Freeman doing G4P.

Lee Haney + quite a few 80's/90's bodybuilders.
Jay cutler - despite all the flak he gets he kept going until he became mr O. I'm sure once he retires from the "sport" he'll have made the right investments to live comfortably.
