It's a fair question.
-
What trips?
-
They want it both ways it seems. They don`t want to pay their taxes to which the military receives the majority of, but they have a love affair with having the largest and most expensive Military in the world numerous times over.
Doesn`t really make much sense.
-
It's a fair question.
So lets just give 100% of our income over right?
-
Also, how can you criticize the commander-in-chief during a time of war?
Republicans hate America.

Where did Obama ask for 100%?
if I'm not mistaken, he's asking for 10% LESS than Reagan was asking for the top 5%.
You can't grow military spending without growing the bill, which is paid by... drum roll please... taxes!

yes b/c the dems loved bush, right? ::)
idiotic, thats tant amount to saying left wing liberals support the war b/c they pay taxes...just plain stupid

At least with the military we actually get some return on investment. Dem spending programs usually create nothing more than legacy costs down the road.

I'm still lost at why all those people are protesting taxes when most of them are getting a tax cut under Obama. I doubt most of those in those crowds make over 250,000 a year. however, I will bet that they watch Fox News regularly.

Yeah, you liberals just showed Bush a ton of love.

It's a fair question.
No it's not. It's a stupid question.
Those that have issues with the tax code are angry with how it's taken, how much is taken, and how the government pisses it away without accountability.

Dude, Stop arguing stupid points and get over here with that pizza already. I'm hungry.

Yup. Zero accountability leads to a situation like we have in California. Severnth largest free-standing economy in the entire world, yet can't pay all its' bills.
-
It's a fair question.
Is it? If you are opposed to taxation without representation, foreign military occupation of other countries and CIA covert actions, among other things, not paying taxes is a good thing.

Recall = Accountability. Or are you all too afraid to hold Arnold accountable, ...fearing he might be baaack! :D

:-\ I have to begrudgingly admit you kinda do have a point there, but how many tea-baggers feel this way?
...or do you get the impression the vast majority are simply all marching to the FOXNews drum?

I haven't paid American taxes in well over a decade so I am doing my part. The US tax code is retarded.

haha, you're so fucked if you come back here. I assume you've had income over the last 10 years?

It's complicated Hugo. The US is one of the few countries in the world (including North Korea, Egypt, etc.) to require of its citizens to pay income tax even when NOT living in the US. The caveat is that you have to earn OVER 85k a year which I never have. However, technically you still need to send in your 1040s, which I don't do. It's retarded. Shit might be getting more difficult though; I heard rumors the Infernal Revenue Service was going to change the policy. Fact is, at the end of the day the IRS has bigger fish to fry than some loser like me who earns chickfeed in a foreign country. They can go to hell.

that's the exclusion of up to $87,600(2008) but to get that you have to actually file.
Statute of Limitations
If you fail to file that return for any tax year (whether a return is required or not), the statute of limitations on tax assessments for that year will never run out. Therefore, if you live abroad for 10 years, and then return to the United States, the IRS may question your failure to file returns for those ten years and later make assessments based on their best estimate of your income. The interest and penalties on any old tax amounts owed grows faster than you can imagine and after 4-5 years may exceed the amount of the original taxes owed.
If you do file your tax return each tax year while living abroad, the statute of limitations in most situations for IRS audits will expire three years after you file those returns. That means the IRS cannot go back (absent fraud) and try to audit or change those returns later. Therefore, you should file your return even if you have no income or don't owe taxes in order to force the statute of limitations to run and eliminate future problems when you decide to return to the U.S.
ouch.

Yeah, head something like that. Haha. I'm a fucking criminal. ::) The tax code is such bullshit; the very fact that you have to file/pay taxes for two countries is retarded. I do have this nightmare scenario though of visiting and getting stopped at the airport. I might actually never return. If this shit gets more hardcore. That's the solution. I tell you, even though taxes in Europe suck and you are taxed to the hilt, at least it is simple. Automatically deducted from your pay check...

I don't know but it was funny :D

It's a line from A Brick in the Wall, Pink Floyd.
At least, I think that's right.

Forget about 1040's, ...it's now a 1099 world from here on in, ...at least if you want to be smart about it. :-\

I would rather my tax dollars go to people who actually earn their living (killing Haji down under) rather than the illegals and welfare bums (not deserving people) who suck the system drive. Even if we didn't have two wars to fight, Barry would still want these shits to get more of our tax dollars.
Eloquent it is not but that's how I feel.
