Hypothetical:
There are two candidate running for President, both from the republican party.
Candidate #1 will cut taxes, fix the economy, win wars, and really improve things. He is experienced and respected. Most ppl agree this person will do a good job. You like his position on issues.
Candidate #2 is a lot murkier on the issues. He means well, but the competence is questionable and experience is very thin. He's shaky on most of the issues.
The problem is, #1 is an athiest and #2 is a devout religous person. You have to choose one. Who would it be?

So, Obama is number 2....who is number one? Do you have a concrete example for these hypothetical people?

I do not.
This Q is designed to see what people would choose - a competent athiest or a semi-competent religious person.
Which would you choose? This isn't about obama, or anyone else. This is about two candidates, and if you would place religioius beliefs over perceived confidence.
-
atheist for sure.

you state that we like his position on issues, whether he is aethist or not doesnt matter what matters to me anyways is where he stand on the issues and if i like where he stand then he probably doesnt push his aethist of secular views and thats fine.
Is that probable i dont really think so

I know. I... 1.) like both abstract and concrete examples, 2.) like to stir up trouble.
Atheist as long as they would respect people from religious backgrounds as much as atheists expect religious to respect them. I know we will hear a long list of things the religious "right" do or have done, etc but as long as there is freedom of religion then the good of the country comes first. Abortion and stem cells are small potatoes compared to everything else now. Yes, you can quote me on that. I have my beliefs but they don't mean shit if the country fails. If the machine breaks down, we break down.

I half expected you to make fun of me. ;D

#1- the athiest . As Dennis Prager says, if the candidate believed the world balanced itself on the shell of a turtle I would still vote for him if he was right on all the issues.
