Hey I got a customs letter saying that some CD's were seized... Does that mean my address has been flagged or is it all just a myth? Or should I find a new location. I've heard it both ways. Thanks for your insight

Get a personal mail box from UPS or something, don't use that address again.

A myth?
How stupid are you exactly? ::)
Your address is flagged and I suggest you don't try to claim the package.

Just be very happy if they don't come knocking.

CD's?? If customs found steroids they will tell you thats what they found. The letter is to scare you and inform you legally they have some of your property and if you want it come get it. Ignore the letter, send it to your guy and have them reship. I got 1 letter and have since ordered stuff to that same address with no problems, but I order very infrequently.
From what I understand on larger seizures customs will contact local LE and tell them how you are ordering gear to their municipality and see if local LE wants to sting you. I would also venture to say if you are a dealer and ordering boatloads of juice and they seize that DEA may just very well be contacted.
So yeah its all very risky, but thats why we like it......right? ;)

You need a clean addy that is for sure.
Let's face it, if the order was large and serious they would not bother with sending you a seizure letter. They would just start the process of setting you up.
Sometimes seizure letters are for the small orders that they don't have time or want to waste resources chasing down. They send it to you in hopes you are stupid enough to answer it or show up. If you do... who knows what happens. (I think we all do) It's basically their way of saying "hey yo, we got your shit and what you did was illegal unless you have a valid reason or prescription, so why don't you forget about doing this shit again ok?"
-
you arent flagged or anything else. one random package - law enforcement doesnt care. like someone else said if they really cared you would not have got a letter, they would set you up.

I got stuff seized a few yrs back
I didnt order any gear for about 2yrs and now I can get anything to the house no problem

He has an unusual style, shall we say :D

I would suggest not messing around.
Don't reorder until you get a script, or
use a different name on the package "girlfriend"
or another addy all together.

No, it does not mean you automatically go on a list, but you "might" if you get a large quantity seized and then they will decide if you are worth it to the local police department to go after. They are more concerned with sources than buyers, but some local departments can be hardcore, specifically in college towns(at least in Texas).
I know a few people who got over 10 letters in the mail and still used that address, but the packs they had seized were very small.
A large order can get your door kicked in, but that is very unlikely.
I actually have a few letters around here somewhere, 3 IIRC over about 5 years, but this was years ago when things were less controlled.
Make no mistake things are getting more strict, so use proper precautions when ordering anything.

my question is.... how do they identify packages mine come inside of other objects they dont run x-ray on each package like they do at the airport....do they

I don't know the answer but I would assume they run x-ray on a certain percentage of pacakges (they certainly have X-ray). Larger packages are probably more likey to be picked. That said, on a couple of occassions, I've had flat letters containing pills opened and let through. So they do check smaller stuff too.

They do random selection for any and all packs, they also have a "watch" list of suspicious "packaging".
Make sure your source knows how to ship stuff. Most sources are clueless and put you in the worst position due to them only caring about the bottom dollar. the "good" sources spend time and money on proper shipping techniques.

Absolutely! A good source will also break up larger orders into multiple smaller orders regardless of cost. For the newer members keep in mind we are talking international orders, not domestic.

Very true! There are good guys out there looking out, for themselves and you. It seems like a PITA when a reletivly small order comes in 3 packages but will keep the heat off if they find a small order. Plus if its seized there is less loss if the seller has to re-send.
On the flipside though one would think more packages more chance of one being found :-\

i want to know how the ausie customs figured out that the gear were in gay lube bottles.... does anyone remember that?

I have got two letters over the past year, and I still use the same addy. I actually got a letter and package at the same time, so I would have to say, Myth. But they weren't large orders. It is always better to be safe than sorry. If you can use another addy than do it. I couldn't, that is why I continued to use the same one.
