Anyone else watching this? it is fucking terrible. Literally so bad that i am making a thread on it. i can't believe they didn't pick up king of the hill for more seasons but run this shit instead. If this show was a body builder it would be king kamali (thread is now topic appropriate).

looks like an American clone of Bromwell High
good show, that
-
Family Guy is the most unfunny and overrated show i've ever seen. The only people who like it are stupid college kids who think it's clever.
-
I miss Clone High, me

Agreed. I used to like it a lot back in college, but ever since south park called it out for what it was I haven't really liked it that much.

Your point is moot. South Park was only good for the first two yrs. And that was when I was in college. After the first two yrs, South Park has been hit or miss, and basically the same. Plus, no more Isaac Hayes to help out either.
Best cartoon there was on Prime Time was Stressed Eric and The Oblongs, and NBC took that off the air.

the oblongs are not funny at all, man.

Oblongs aren't bad. I watch a lot of these shows on cartoon network adult swim like oblongs, mission hill, etc.

so do i, but the oblongs aren't really up there for me. also , none of those "tim and eric" shows are funny.

They were back in the day. And what they represented. Everybody down at the bottom of the hill next to the Nuclear power plant was effed up. Everybody at the top of the hill, the rich folks were healthy good looking people.
The oblong family, represented in a way the neutered American family. the father was armless, legless, and virtually held no power in the family structure. The main son, who was a flabby bottomed child who was on every medication known to man represented the over medicated children of today. And the list goes on.

Here's Part 2

Man Simpsons, Family Guy and American DAD where LMAO funny!
But that new show stinks!

King of the Hill > Every other show on TV

south park > Every other show on TV

King of the Hill > Every other show on TV
King of the Hill is really quite brilliant
it's a bit subtle at times but no less hilarious
-
Anybody ever catch "The Batman", this is a younger Batman, back when he first started out, but set in today's timeframe. The Joker knows how to fight, as do most of Batman's rogues gallery. And it shows the beginnings of The Justice League.

Exactly it is funny as shit if you understand the dynamics. Like how uptight hank is etc. Like i've said before it is probably the only cartoon that could be done with real people. It isn't over the top and go for shock crazy laughs like family guy.

Great show...one of my favorites:
-
Favorite episode of King of the Hill was the trashing they put on soccer. It was spot on, as the brits say and summed up everything I feel about the subject. Anybody see it?

Yep. Most people I talk to about it, don't understand the humor. Shame that show is coming to an end.....

I actually like soccer but I still thought it was hilarious. Besides, they were really making fun of soccer as played in this country.

Very true....."we are tied, so nobody score. We want everybody to play and go home a winner!" haha, oh brother. Try that in Germany!

Here's Part 2
I fucking love family guy

Exactly...there was one league I heard of up near Roanoke where not only do they not keep score, but they try to "forbid" spectators from speaking on the subject, and have strict rules on after-game refreshments (water and juice boxes only....NO SODAS)...well, when I heard about this (this was a few years ago, when I drank heavily lol), a couple friends and I went to one of the games and kept asking each other, "What's the score?" and answering one another. People were so pissed...I guess one of them called the police because she bitched to her pansy-looking husband, "They said they can't do anything about it because they're not breaking the law. Jerks!" After the game I yelled to the coach, "Juice boxes?? What are these kids, ORPHANS??" I just love crapping all over other people's inflated sensitivities.

Argggggg, that crap drives me crazy. Remember the good ole days when you just road the bench when you sucked? That motivated you to get better so you could play. I coached basketball a few years ago in a league with mandatory playing time for all the kids....I can understand if they are very young, but these guys were 12 and 13 yr olds! C'mon. i was a glorified babysitter as most of the parents didn't even come to the games or care at all.
It's when the non-athletes get involved. They sucked and never played as kids, so now they are going to correct all that is wrong in the world by putting mandatory idiocy into the mix...

Tru dat. I don't mind the mandatory playing time in "biddy" (6-8) leagues so that kids can learn the fundamentals, but yeah by age 12 you earn playing time rather than have it doled out.

Leave cartoons for the kids.
south park is a dark satire medium that deals with history, religion, economics, and current events in a society that is basically a globalization of American consumerism culture. Too bad you can't understand it. :-\
