actually, that is amazing. I did 20 reps with that and felt like passing out right there on the floor. this guy did 43 and just walked away like it was nothing.

Does he even have quads worth talking about?
I mean, by the time he's 50, his low back will be wasted. May as well have something to show for all of his hard work.

Once you get goin, it's easy to get caught on the safety's. Usually only one side catches... you also have a tendency to start leaning. It also REALLY sucks if you accidentally hit the pins when you are in the upward part of the rep.

C'mon man it sticks out like 6 inches and he's got another 2 and a half feet to work with beyond that, it's just another dumbass ploy to try to look more "hardcore".

i have those same plates at my gym and they dont clink together like it sounds like on the vid b/c they are wrapped in rubber and i can believe the bar was making all that noise so its hard for me to believe that this vid was real.

good catch. Rubber coated plates don't "clank" and bars don't either. Something odd going on. Plus the guy looks like he has never lifted in his life. Doesn't even have a "natural powerlifter" look......

I take back what I said about the clanking. At the end, close-up, it looks like the only rubber coated plate is the one on the outside. The two to the inside look like regular plates, which could make the noise.

i think they are all rubber coated, they are the multi sided plates and ive only seen those in black and grey the black ones are the rubber coated ones...iono
