Last time I was at Target I bought "Origin" fish oil capsules. I opened them and they look different than what I'm used to...the capsule seems "rough" and so it is not smooth and clear like a regular capsule.
This and the latest construction drywall from China fiasco made me paranoid that these may be made in China.
The label says they are distributed by Target in Minneapolis....but nothing about where they are manufactured.
I called Target who told me they were made by "Nature's Bounty" and that's all they knew...oh and that they are dedicated to our health and safety blah blah blah.
I looked online and my label looks diff. than the Nature's Bounty label and there is no mention of "Origin" on the website that I found.
Does anyone use these and know where they are manufactured?

Does it say "enteric coated"?

Does it say "enteric coated"?
I do not see that anywhere on the label.

I've seen enteric coated fish oil caps with a white coating and also like what you describe. The capsule is harder and less gel like and kind of cloudy looking right? I recall having some that would almost shatter when I tried to cut it in order to pour it into Scout's food. As a matter of fact, I dropped one on the floor and it broke :-\ I believe that was the NOW brand.
What you have is probably enteric coated, but if you're not comfortable with them, take them back.

from what I have heard, Nature's boutny products are US made. Even though they have acquired some eurpean companies/labs

I found another bottle of fish oil here that has the exact same "look" as the capsules I first posted about. That bottle does say enteric coated so I feel better. Thanks Princess and Migs.
Soda wouldn't eat one of those ...I found a bottle of the regular looking kind and she gobbled them right up.
