So i have just started up doing abs again and this time i have vowed to be consistent and hit them hard. The thing is i hate doing reps forever so i'll use a decline or a machine or whatever so that it is hard enough that i can only do about 12-15 reps per set. Now after looking at all these pros on here with their nasty guts I have gotten a little frightened about going so heavy on abs. So my question is do I have anything to worry about?

Just a little hint when using the machines, pull up with ur feet or knees or w/e holds u down as u crunch. Guaranteed ul fatigue twice as fast. I dont think u have 2 worry about abs getting 2 big. Just work your TVA and hold that sucker in.

Not sure what TVA is, but yeah I hardly ever do machines but when I did it today i did pull my legs up to get a better crunch.

Tva = Trans verse abdomini Its the muscle you use 2 hold your stomach in. Try breathing way out then sucking your stomach way in and holding for 10 - 20 sec's. 3 or 4 sets trying 2 increase time and learning 2 breath can net an inch or 2 off your waist in a couple of weeks. Try it also while training abs. Ps. I know this is getbig but what the hell, theres a little bodybuilding advice anyway. ;) p.ps Before anyone says bullshit on the 1-2 inchs in a couple weeks try it, you may be suprised. :-*

Thanks for the advice, i'll give it a shot. Contrary to popular belief i am not looking for get those alien abs :)
