My gym has nothing for calves so I just use the leg press but I have to admit it sucks and I don't feel much. Are there any alternatives to do without the proper equipment? ???

You don't feel toe presses? I love doing them for calves.
You can just do single leg calf raises standing on a block or something. I don't like these as much though.....

One legged calf raises on stairs, using lots of intensity techniques like assisted reps, forced negatives, burns.
Check the stickied calf thread on the training board.

leg press would be fine, standing on a block and using smith machine is even better.

just do claf raises with dumbells or simply without weight, but 1000s of reps. Works great for me.

or better
just grab heavy dumbells and do them off the floor. Just stand up

30 reps on a block with dumbells, hold at the top of each rep, straight on to
30 reps on a block, just bodyweight, hold at the top of each rep, straight on to
30 reps on the floor going up to your toes, hold at the top of each rep
Do this 4 times. Should hurt like hell

Very similar to my calf workout, however i use the smith machine or standing calf machine first.....it's a killer.

Find the steepest hill near where you live and walk up it on your tip toes,thats all i ever do for my calves.The best calves i`ve ever seen have been on guys who go rambling up hills.
