Ronald Reagan's acting career hit a lull in the late 1940s. Despite parts in minor films such as The Voice of the Turtle and That Hagen Girl, he became increasingly preoccupied with his more important role during Hollywood's "Red Scare" as head of the Screen Actors Guild. It was revealed last week that the future President played another role as well: as a secret FBI informant, code name T-10. According to an article published in the San Jose Mercury News, documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act indicate that Reagan and his first wife, Actress Jane Wyman, provided federal agents with the names of actors they believed were Communist sympathizers.

yea, but I'm not for blacklisting people because they are a marxist or because their brother is a marxist or because they explored it several years earlier or whatever. I think they went to far with that witchhunt.

Holy Cow, ...you guys are just finding out about that now? :o :o
How do you think he met Nancy? She was anonymously accused of being a pinko, but Ronnie took a liking to her, so she came under his protection. He did a lot of shitty underhanded things as head of SAG, including turning a blind eye to the complete conflict of interest with MCA Universal. The laundry list of Reagan's underhanded misdeeds at the helm of SAG is legendary in film industry circles.

I don't think America works well that way. I always believed that if you can't stand up and tell a guy and others why X is wrong and what you believe is right, if you have to resort to completely boxing in an suffocating a guy that believes something different than you to win, you're most likely the guy that's wrong.

shit, there's some extremists on this forum, no doubt ::) I bet some of you dress up in costumes and play :)

Unreal. The communist witch hunt was another dark period in American history. And Ronald Reagan, no doubt, felt he was doing his patriotic duty outing commy pink-o's.
